Suns owner following the Nets blueprint. I dont think that would work. But im expecting KD to slide to 3rd option but still be very productive then having Beal and Booker do most of the offensive duties.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

That offense will be sick though, and no Kyrie. Soooo....
They could build depth by trading Ayton. Health of Durant is a concern but that team is my favorite to win it next year. If they let KD become the 3rd option, they could preserve him... Unfortunately he's also their best defender, but with that offense.... You only need so much.
Beal and Booker can run their offense.
We also didn't opt for a rookie coach

If I'm New Orleans, I'm trading Zion for #2 or #3 if that's available. He cares about basketball as little as Simmons does and his value is only going to get worse.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Bona/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Drummond/Broome

You might be 100% right, but it must be so hard to even think about trading a talent like Zion. I mean what if he actually get's it together and manages to stay healthy. But that is a big IF. Unlike Simmons, Zion is more polished and not afraid to be an offensive force. And then if NO trades Zion and gets the #2 or #3 pick is your team taking a step backwards while you wait for that rookie to mature? Reports are that BI is not that engaged in being the best player he could possibly be. So as NO you've got rid of one "star" but your other star is not 100% committed to being the best he can be. Crazy times in NO.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

If I’m NOP, I’m trading both of those dudes to Charlotte and Portland. They’re unavailable and don’t seem to really care about giving their best. Zion is especially a mess because he’s oft-injured AND clearly doesn’t care about the game of basketball.

Ingram for 2 and Zion for 3 would be a coup for NO. Seems possible at least.

The coverage of the Beal trade has me scratching my head. All I know is replacing Chris Paul, a guy in the conversation for point guard GOAT, with Bradley Beal a combo guard who peaked out at a back of the top 20 players in the league makes your team worse. Chris Paul is a basketball genius who makes the players around him better and a tenacious defender. Beal is a better bucket getter AT this point, although Paul can still score very efficiently when he wants too, but you have two of the top handful of scorers in the leauge on the roster already. The age difference is close to irrelevant because Beal is very injury prone and as likely not to be available or at full strength during the playoffs as Paul is. I admit I havent really read too much on the back ground of this trade. Was there a reason they couldnt sign Paul to a short term deal? The Suns are worse today. Beal's contract is ridiculous. He makes something like an average of 54 million dollars per year on the remainder of his deal. 54 mil per for Bradley bleeping Beal lol!

Thoughts on Collin Sexton being made available? I'd never want him as a starter here, but if a good team gets him off their bench it'd be a nice add.
Put up 25 ppg in 2020-2021 (I realize averaging 25 isn't what it used to be, but still).

We can't have any more shorties as long as Maxey is around.

Sexton would only work if we were to trade Maxey. I'm a big fan of Collin, but I think Maxey is actually the better overall player.

He's got a chance to pump his stats on what looks to be at best, a sub .500 team. It's also hard to see him getting more than 18.5 currently. If Toronto tanks and he ends up playing a lot, then he has a chance to really rebuild his value. He's betting on himself in this scenario and I think it's a bold move on his part, but it's going to pay off. He'll average 20 a game on that team next year.

No doubt about it. Maxey can be an All-Star in this league and probably put up 28-30 PPG in the future. Sexton likely has already peaked.

Yeah but the Suns can probably count on Beal being able to play in the playoffs. CP3 not so much. And the playoffs is where it counts.

I was a big fan of Sexton but he didn't look right last year. Not sure if he is damaged goods or not but I'd stay away

Paul is a bench guy at this point and is coming off yet another injury.
I'd sign him for our 2nd PG role but the idea that us or any team should sign him and have the offense run through him is laughable he has declined so much over the last couple of years.

I like how Wemby answered in the JJ podcast. He sounds like someone who wants to win more than wanting to be the best player in the world. He knows winning is about making others better, and thats why the past alphas who won it like bron, steph, giannis and jokic gets it.
Oh and i dont know how he was able to kick that ball stucked between the rim and the backboard (wedgie) thats crazy

I think it would be odd for LA to make George available but not Kawhi. You trade PG13 for #3 and you're in that weird rebuild + try to contend phase.
