Maybe so. Only time will tell, I just don't think he will healthy at that size.

Chet has a similar frame and he didn't even make it past summer league. I think I read a report the Spurs will not play him in summer league. That is very odd.

Amen (not Thompson). At some point - many moons ago - Draft Night became my Christmas. I voted Miller but honestly could not care less at this point. Give me Scoot or Miller. We're in a good situation.

To be fair Wemby did just complete his season in Europe a few days ago. He could probably use some rest.

This has been the LONGEST WAIT TO A DRAFT EVER!!!!. I think that has to do with two things.

1. We were so bad this year we couldn't wait till the draft to change things (this is probably the culprit)

2. Maaaaybe the draft thread was opened too soon. Maybe should open in the New Year as kinda an out of site out of mind thingy

Actually waiting too long to open the draft thread might not be a super good idea because sometimes there are players who play that you might want to recommend. I.e. Brandon Miller debut etc...

Nah, the preseason was a clear indicator that this team was so horridly bad that we had to start the draft thread to give us something to look forward to

I am at the point where I hope we land Henderson and Jackson. I think we need to trade up to get Jackson but if we came out of this draft with those two I would feel very good about the direction of the team.

Maybe so, but history shows there is a decent chance he might be right.

There's so much hype on Wemby that he'll need to have a Lebron/MJ/Shaq/Wilt/Kareem etc type HOF career not to feel like a disappointment.

if the team is conflicted between Miller and Scoot, great that they're bringing them back again

but if they're doing it just so Michael Jordan can bless one of them...ugh, I hate that

He has to stay healthy. If he gets a lower body injury at that size and it normally spell then end of a career. Big men like him can be great but they have a small margin of error when it comes to getting hurt and coming back at near the same level.

Wemby is gonna be HORRIBLE imo. Just as bad as Zion, Chet and Wiseman. I was actually happy we got #2. I think both Scoot and Miller will be better.

I wonder if we should take Noah Clowney if he is there at #27. I hope we don't take scoot because if Kobe Bufkin or Keyonte George were to fall to 27 we couldn't/shouldn't take them... With Miller we can take anyone.

FWIW Scoot is now the betting favorite to go 2nd over Miller.

Barely.

The team has succeeded in making everyone think we are truly undecided (whether we are or not). That means all trade up proposals for either Scoot or Miller come through us first.

Fwiw I think we are undecided. I think the team probably likes Miller the basketball player slightly more, but it's close enough that Scoot the person is making them think twice.

Before this season Dean was setting himself up to be the anti-Wemby troll in this draft cycle, but Wemby's season was too bulletproof so he pivoted to Scoot pretty early.

Speaking of his anti-Scoot stuff, he recently seemed to say that the reason Brandon Miller's halfcourt efficiency numbers were so low is because the data was being tracking by people who were biased against Miller...
