Hey guys! Have not posted in a while but always reading and getting the good info from you. :-)

Question, is there any link or source to the Robinson being the piece Miami didnt wanted to include for Beal rumor?

Thanks!!

We got 3 (6mil tax MLE type players) wrapped into one Duncan Robinson but let’s keep Duncan cause he made you feel good for a spurt after two years of clunk and not even playing lol

We've got a good team. You sign MLEs to these guys on short term deals, if they get better they get a raise.

Try to get the perfect fits for the ecosystem. Is Lavine a two way guy? Perhaps. Do we want to lose the shot making abilities of a Herro for the athletic upgrade w Lavine? Perhaps.

Lillard, he's a nugget crusher. No bbq needed. But if it's gonna go down its gotta happen now. Can't sacrifice the prudent moves to get played dirty.

Sign Strus and Gabe to $15 mil per season deals. 6 years. Player options. NTC.

We can’t even sign them to 4 mil each without heading into super tax right now. The 18th pick needs to get us out of cap hell lol. Now it all makes sense working out all 2nd rounders

2nd rounders and undrafted guys. Its our model. Get a big fish every 5 years or so.

2005-Shaq
2010-Lebron
2015-Waiters
2020-Butler
2025?

cant believe you put all those scrubs on the same list as Dion Waiters

In 2026 we can renounce all our cap holds and see if we can lure multiple whales to team up with Herro. Summer of 2026 boys. We wont have to hold our heads down for much longer.

It's also possible Washington wanted to be compensated for taking Robinson, say a or another 1st or Jovic.
if this happened it makes sense that the heat backed out.

End of the 1st round guy was too much for a guy who scored 30 ppg in his prime WHILE getting off Robinson's contract? I'm not a Beal fan but I do understand the absolute need of a vet scorer to go with Butler and Bam in this small window. It's why basically anyone but Butler and Bam should be considered moveable. If this team didn't have a chance to win it all sure, you don't do that but that's not the current framing of this team.

I have to wonder had Miami went all in to try to win a championship when Butler got here, would they have had 1 championship already and would this be an even more desirable destination for other stars, but you know, young potential, it's done wonders for Chicago, Minnesota and Philly, all teams that chose youth over building around Butler and actually, Miami has done the same thing.

I am leaning 90% that Dame isn't coming. If POR commits to trading their assets to improve... Dame's track record shows what he will do. He will accept their efforts and stay in Portland.

Trade Butler for those picks then try to move up to 2 to make sure you get Scoot.

We can surround him with Lebron and Kawhi. Lock those dudes up for 4 years and watch the chips rain down. We did it again!

Butler to PLand for 3rd and 23rd pix. PLand becomes legit contender.

Trade Herro to Orlando for 11th pick and contracts.

Trade Lowry at deadline.

We can salvage this!

Replace Lebron with Lonzo Ball and you’ll pique my interest. Kawhi/Herro/Ball. Jersey patch sponsored by Leon Medical Center.

Hire private investigator to follow Popovich and Spurs GM around.

Get embarrassing evidence on them.

Use this as leverage to acquire Wemby in exchange for Herro and Robinson.

Pay for airplane tickets for Pop and Spurs GM to escape violence from the city of San Antonio.

Wes Goldberg from Lock'd on Heat (they just released their Monday podcast) says the only thing he knows about Miami's deal is that it was Lowry and Robinson in the package for Beal.

Seems like the Wiz fan base was amenable to this plus a pick. Thats how crazy Beals contract is. You lock up KD for that money at that age and feel good. Beal? Not so much.

Still wouldve grabbed my popcorn if wed gotten Beal. Mightve cracked 100 in a Finals game.

    (1) Lillard asks out of Portland, names Miami as sole preferred destination.
    (2) Portland does him a solid and trades him to Miami.
    (3) Heat fans rejoice.
    (4) Lifelong Knicks fan Adam Silver voids trade due to tampering.

Really good watch, on how portland views whats happening. They even think this has legs.
Cliff notes?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1. Lillard has been beating the drum lowder than any other year.
2. Chris Haynes is good friends with Lillard and has been the guy to report on every Lillard milestone or tidbit.
3. Lillard isnusually very unfront about matters and his comments should be taken to the bank about him wanting to stay but if they dont decide to head in that dirrection he will want out.
4. Miami assets are trash, max in a single trade is 3FRP's and Herro, which they view as trash.
5. There are suggestions of a third team giving Portland 2 more picks in exchange for Herro, but he doesnt believe such a team exist at this moment that falls under that category.
6. However portland may get a trash return, maybe not Miamis current trash but mildly trash from another team.
7. Portland will do right by him, and fans should be ready to see a trash return.
Just got back from my European vaction. Had to watch the Finals on my phone at 2am every game which was not an easy thing to do while on vaction. Heat culture will prevail. All this negative trade talk about Beal is just nonsense. He might have been a solution but he's not a winner or Heat type player. Beal is all about the $$$ and less stressful way to play the game. Glad he will help us because Lillard will see its becoming more difficult to win in the West. Let the Portland drama playout. One important thing to keep in mind is a trade can not take place until July 9, 2023 for Lillard. We need to just relax and see how this all pans out. This organization will always complete for a championship.

Blazers not learning from WAS. Take a good deal now or a worse one later. There's no path to contention for this Portland team. They are no moves that are gonna make them better than Nuggets, PHX, Lakers or Warriors. Trading away the 3rd pick for 2-3 seasons of max a 1st round exit is just dumb
