Honestly if Scoot goes 2, I think we prefer trading Pascal to the Rockets if we are going to trade him for a high pick. That way we can get a huge TPE and not have to take on someone like Simons.
houston likely isnt doing the trade unless they are getting harden, thus they wont be using cap space to take pascal. kevin porter jr ++ will be part of the return.

The exact amount of capspace they have is a question. They are reported to have 60 million. If they gave up #4, they would have more because they would lose the hold. MPJ has three non-guaranteed years after this one so if they really wanted to(or we refuse to take him) they could stretch his 16 million over 9! years to open up more room.
But also in the new cba, teams need to get to the salary floor to start the year or they don't get their share of tax money from tax teams. So maybe Houston does this even if Harden isn't coming.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
