trade or no trade, scoot is going #2 according to latest draft news.

Honestly if Scoot goes 2, I think we prefer trading Pascal to the Rockets if we are going to trade him for a high pick. That way we can get a huge TPE and not have to take on someone like Simons.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Lol.

I want my team to succeed. I just don’t think this has any chance of success.

I hear you. Were I Blazers fan, I would be infuriated if they added pieces instead of moving Dame. I am still firmly in the camp that he ultimately gets dealt.

Judging by the return on the Brad Beal trade...I think Blazers fans might be shocked at what a 32 year old Dame gets back in a trade...considering he will be making 63 million at 36 years old. Maybe better off not finding out...

houston likely isnt doing the trade unless they are getting harden, thus they wont be using cap space to take pascal. kevin porter jr ++ will be part of the return.
on the basic level
so 3 + simmons
or 4 + kevin porter jr

You're probably right, but if he misses a boatload of games again this season, the return will be even less next summer.

I can't see the tweets but masai should be patient. Get portland and Atlanta into a bidding war for Siakam.

I don't know what I would want from ATL if Trae isn't available. Is their prospect package of pick #15, Okongwu, Jalen Johnson and AJ Griffin enough?

Mentally prepared for Scoot going #2. Don’t see how Charlotte passes up on him.

I still would be on board for trading pascal for Brandon Miller, who also has incredible potential and would fit great next to Scottie

The exact amount of capspace they have is a question. They are reported to have 60 million. If they gave up #4, they would have more because they would lose the hold. MPJ has three non-guaranteed years after this one so if they really wanted to(or we refuse to take him) they could stretch his 16 million over 9! years to open up more room.
But also in the new cba, teams need to get to the salary floor to start the year or they don't get their share of tax money from tax teams. So maybe Houston does this even if Harden isn't coming.

LMAO, Scoot playing the game perfectly.

Is there a place Scoot doesn't want to play?

Oh boy... resisting the temptation to get overly excited at the thought of Masai pulling off a miracle and getting sharpe and scoot...

To me this also implies that the FO is ready to move Siakam. They've seen what OG is capable of when Siakam is not on the floor. OG is ready for that pecking order promotion. 1a-1b with Scottie next season.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

"Scoot won't be primary ball handler who will run the team's offense at #2 or #3. He isn't happy currently despite what anyone might suggest." I stand by my statement from last month. Scoot and his agents going to do some NFL style maneuvering. Let's hope anyways.

Don’t be delusional, that would be a total fleece job by Masai.

Masai did not trade anybody at the deadline. He’s not doing anything this offseason either.

Not believing it until I see it happen
