Wonder if we could help the pacers pursuit of OG if we sent them 18 for 26 and 29.

In order words, Pat Riley chose the perfect time to do his Miami Heat review when he can't answer questions or be held liable for mistakes about free agency or headspace on what their mind is headed. Nice smart man!!!

Really?
Not me, RBW. Not too concerned either.
Lotta folks didn't think Beal would be in Phoenix or even traded at all, anything could happen. I don't necessarily believe it, but anything could happen

Not a chance that that is going to happen.
Too many things have to happen.
Blazers have to blow the draft improvement
Dame has to ask out
Dame has to verbally and demonstratively demand that it be to Miami
Even doing that, we still don’t have the amount of picks other teams can offer
Like I said yesterday, the way Miami handled the Beal situation was like having the $2,000 you need to pay your rent on time, and then going to buy $2,000 worth of lotto tickets to hope that you win and can pay your rent through there.
Not saying we’ll strike out all off season, but I just can’t see Dame.

Re: Miami Heat Off-Season 2.0- The Empire runs it back
The focus on what Dame wants as if its the biggest factor is interesting. Ppl also were thinking some outstanding package was going to be needed for Beal when he had a NTC and clearly had all the leverage. Now those same ppl are shocked at how menial the package was. (Just like I said it would be)
Truth is, Dame is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Beal and has very little leverage. If he decides he wants out, Portland will trade him where they will get the best deal. They don't have the incentive ppl seem to think they do to ensure he goes where he wants. He's already under contract for several more years. So ultimately its going to be 100% on the FO to utilize a 3rd team to put together an incredible deal, better than the ones other teams can put up even without a 3rd team.

If this is not collusion then I don't know what is
Wizards handing PHX players to fill out their roster for nothing. This a dad, Beal's agent, doing his son (PHX CEO) a solid.

The same ones who stan The Godfather and defend his every move/judgement don’t believe he can get the job done and land his number 1 priority this offseason in Dame?

But no team will do that without extorting us and hanging us to dry. We are talking about at least two first round draft picks to take Duncan, which we won't do. Watch us stretch Oladipo just to get out of the tax. If im a team with cap space I smell blood in the water and will go for the kill. They won't have any compassion for us nor should they.

Stretching Oladipo won't fully get us out. We are 11 mil over

Yeah, this is starting to reek of they did some backdoor swindling favors for each other. Beal is also not a true alpha, tell tale sign was how he decided to take a backseat to KP and team instead of continuing to be a true number one for easier path once he got paid. So he favors the Phoenix because he won't have to work as hard as in Miami would have expected of him. He will be the third banana in the offense, instead of here where he would of been demanded to put the ball in the basket as the number one guy.

Beal wanted to be in Phx to play with KD. Its not any more complex than that.

If the numbers are close I could easily see us trading this year pick and Oladipo to a team with cap space. That would be Oladipo + the salary of the pick which should be close. The 18th pick is slotted to get 2.65 mil this year + Oladipo should be within striking distance of the 11. But thats not addressing resigning our players or whoever we get in the second round or from the G-league so it might all be a moot point.

I don’t think we would be wasting our time working out all these top 2nd rd prospects just for the sake of it. And don’t give me this buy second rd picks bologna with Micky already marked with a 19 mil tax bill. Somethings cooking with our pick at 18 and one of the teams at the top off the second. All just so happen have ample cap space.
