Next Guy after Dame the Knicks have like 7-10 picks, the next guy after that..... you get my point.

We aren’t getting Lillard simple as that

Next years starting lineup:

Herro
Robinson
Jimmy
Bam
Zeller

Make it happen, Pat.

Bill Simmons said on his pod today that he thinks Zion is as good as gone this week. Pelicans don't want to move Ingram. Bill pretty in the know of nba dealing. Knicks have a ton of assets, ton. And sending an all star like Randle plus picks and a young player or two to play with ingram and McCollum... you improve now (based on zion never playing for them) and you improve for the future if you get frp's and a dude like quickley or toppin or whoever else. I think this has real smoke to it.
Knicks want to move on from Randle and have the assets to get just about anyone.

why would anyone want Zion?

he's injury prone. i wouldnt even want to rely on him if you gave him to me for free, i would still plan to have someone that we can rely on because id expect zion to get injured

At one point the big man over there in Philly had the same connotations as in injury prone, and they have been able to overcome those issues, as he streghten himself. However the big thing is, Embiid never had an issue with weight, which is something that Zion has to work through. When Zion is on his best, he is on a tier on its own, so upside of putting him on a regimen that gets him in shape, healthier, and with a purpose, you have yourself the best player in the NBA.

Unless they can trade up to #2, or somehow Charlotte is dumb enough to pass on Scoot and he falls to 3, I think Blazers try to build a contender for Dame.

So, here's to hoping Charlotte **** it up.

If it's even a question, PDX's gonna fold like a lawn chair

Fold as in give up the 3rd? If so, I agree if Scoot is off the board by then at #2.

I do believe we have an outside shot at Dame though. Just a lot has to go right for it to happen.

Here's KP essentially dominating the Celtics. He can reach another level here without question. Dude is only 27 and just entering the prime of his career.

Buddy Hield + KP

would be a solid offseason.

Pat Riley would put that man on a treadmill so fast that he wouldn’t even have time to get out of his suit. Spacing would be a major issue, but (a new and improved body fat measuring and in shape) Zion, Jimmy, and Bam would be formidable.

Yup.

Only shot that we have is if Dame specifically mentions to Portland that he wants to play for Miami and no one else. They may honor his wish if the package is attractive enough.

That being said, players often specify a list of team's (as opposed to a single team) when forcing their way out.. and in that case if the list of team's includes Brooklyn and/or NY we may basically be toast.

hohohoho

As soon as Pat hears that Dame says he wants Miami... the lowball leverage offers will resume.

Portland will get upset and just trade him to t he next guy with a slightly better offer.

Said it yesterday and I'll say it again - It's really going to blow reading through WojBombs over the next several days and seeing another playoff team acquire KP for a bag of Doritos and a slim jim, while we wait on the side for the off chance that Lillard says he wants to only play with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

or worse..

Lillard used us as leverage to force Portland to trade the #3 instead of using it.... and never had any real intention of leaving.

Which is what I suspect is happening. He's clearly not ready to leave.

Plot twist. The Blazers are waiting for the Heat to make Butler available to pair with Dame and call offering the #3 pick.

Miami isn't very far away from dominating for a title, they aren't a Lillard player away in fact KP and an improved Jovic from the bench away from being a leading top 3 team in the NBA.

If Scoot there, yes Id drop Jimmy in a flash, the Scoot/Bam combo would be elite. Start over, I would then trade Herro for some quality depth, and keep it moving.

Yeah i'm with you

At this point, if I were GM..... Buddy Hield and/or KP or patrick williams

Dame isnt happening, might be using us to force Portland to trade #3

Heat should have all interviews with the organization, including riley interviews, available instantly for subscribers and then free to the public after a couple of weeks for historical archiving and meme creation. Or it could be instantly free, even better

Stop sleeping neo lol

With KP on the roster, we'd have four (4) players on our team that can score over 20ppg - Butler, Bam, Herro, and KP himself. He fills the much need void offensively.

I would love to kick the tires on KP but he would require more than Beal & I don't see the Heat making a single move until after they know if Dame will be asking for a trade for God knows what reason. Lebron and Giannis could both show up at the Heat's door and Riley would probably want to still wait a few weeks to see about the Lillard situation.

Id get KP, if we got KP maybe Lillard is even more enticed to come. Neither move is a sure bet, who knows what if KP got hurt and then Jovic blossomed in y2 or y3, etc

We've got a good group, we don't have to force a move but we have to tweak things. Our regular season sucked

Jovic and herro could blossom while bam and Butler can further age.

Bam looks in prime shape
