Bill Simmons said on his pod today that he thinks Zion is as good as gone this week. Pelicans don't want to move Ingram. Bill pretty in the know of nba dealing. Knicks have a ton of assets, ton. And sending an all star like Randle plus picks and a young player or two to play with ingram and McCollum... you improve now (based on zion never playing for them) and you improve for the future if you get frp's and a dude like quickley or toppin or whoever else. I think this has real smoke to it.
Knicks want to move on from Randle and have the assets to get just about anyone.

why would anyone want Zion?

he's injury prone. i wouldnt even want to rely on him if you gave him to me for free, i would still plan to have someone that we can rely on because id expect zion to get injured

At one point the big man over there in Philly had the same connotations as in injury prone, and they have been able to overcome those issues, as he streghten himself. However the big thing is, Embiid never had an issue with weight, which is something that Zion has to work through. When Zion is on his best, he is on a tier on its own, so upside of putting him on a regimen that gets him in shape, healthier, and with a purpose, you have yourself the best player in the NBA.

Zion gonna adopt the technique of flopping like a fish after any athletic movement to avoid stressing out his joints?

KP has to opt in and then, if they somehow made this happen:

KP + Delon Wright for Lowry + Duncan + all the picks Washington wants

I'd be really happy.
This helps with a lot of things, including getting rid of that horrible Duncan contract, that they simply can't afford anymore.

Buddy Hield + KP

would be a solid offseason.

Kp is an expirer so he will be motivated.

With KP on the roster, we'd have four (4) players on our team that can score over 20ppg - Butler, Bam, Herro, and KP himself. He fills the much need void offensively.

I would love to kick the tires on KP but he would require more than Beal & I don't see the Heat making a single move until after they know if Dame will be asking for a trade for God knows what reason. Lebron and Giannis could both show up at the Heat's door and Riley would probably want to still wait a few weeks to see about the Lillard situation.

Id get KP, if we got KP maybe Lillard is even more enticed to come. Neither move is a sure bet, who knows what if KP got hurt and then Jovic blossomed in y2 or y3, etc

It would have to be one or the other sadly. Just for Dame himself I think to be in the convo for just two seconds would require literally everything not nailed down to the foundation of the triple-A, and even like that we'd get laughed out of the building in two seconds. KP we can make get away with a Jovic + Lowry and 2 picks. And even then, if someone decides to make it a bidding war, there's nothing we can really do.

The priority is frontcourt firepower. we've got shooters.

Does anyone recall when is the deadline for players on Player Options to opt in or out of their deals?

I think Dame is still a longshot but for those who dont think there wont be other players available.. yall fooling yourself.. there will be many ways to improve the roster.. it may not be a whale, it may be a trade for multiple players that improves the talent level of our roster. There are going to be teams may be looking to cut salary, such as Golden State, Clippers, Chicago, Hornets, Pelicans, Wizards got some contracts and players that can make us deeper like Porzingis.. each of them have players that can help us.

My wish list remains with Brook Lopez.. i hope we can find some creative way to get him here.

This would explain why Lowry walked off the bus limping last year.

I don't think there's many who don't think anyone will be available. I think that there's plenty of us worried that we'll miss out on them all again though just focused on Dame and then end up with nothing like what happened last year with Durant. We very well could be celebrating a title right now had we just made a few minor moves last year to add size and scoring instead of doing nothing waiting on a whale that never comes.

Misogyny will have us police the sex lives of higher class men to keep 'certain' women in their place

We need to leave that thinking in the past

Last year we didnt have a single expiring that could help us improve our roster.. we dont have that problem this year.. we will get something done.. it may not be Dame.. but there will be improvement.

I saw all these concerns after 2005, people bitching at these same boards asking Riley to trade for a third star.. instead he got posey, j will and antoine walker. It may have been a one year write to get the title but it worked.

We got the right expiring amount, we got other tradeable assets. Something will be done to improve the talent level of this roster.

Duncan, Herro, Lowry, and I think Oladipo live in the same condo high rise. The article specifically says mansion. That also eliminates all of the guys that haven’t gotten paid yet like Vincent, Strus, Highsmith, etc. If it’s a current player she’s talking about then my boys Bam or Jimmy are getting pegged (not that there is anything wrong with that, for the woke crowd).
