Agreed. Never mind that very few # 3 picks have been traded within the past 50 yrs, a rumoured trade of this magnitude rarely materializes. On top of that, I’m not sure if Masai is willing to throw a grenade at his team and trade Siakam and/or OG even though most of us think that Scoot, Simmons and fillers for Pascal would be awesome! With that said, Raps are playing with house money and I understand the reluctance to part ways with Pascal or OG but they can’t possibly run it back and except a different result! That would be insanity!

Damn it sounds like Scoot would really embrace being a raptor. Didn’t he also say he would like to play with Scottie too??

He just seems to be really mature from what I’ve seen. Isn’t steph curry mentoring him too? That’s a pretty good guy to have as your mentor

Really hope we can make it happen. I don’t see charlotte going with a lamelo/scoot backcourt, so I think he will be there at 3

Toronto has little leverage here. Rumors goes POR could target Zion if they indeed make #3 available and Scoot is there

Laughable if they actually did that. Extreme risk/reward move which likely ends with losing Dame and #3 pick for an eternally injured player that they will eventually lose. There is a reason while NOP would consider this - but if Zion is a smokescreen it's one of the saddest smokescreens I have seen.

They'd have to add #23 + Sharpe + future first round pick if that is the case.

We laugh at Portlands offers just like they laugh at ours. Each team wants to come out on top in most transactions and our front office has made that too much of an issue except when we deal with the Spurs lol.

Personally, I think Siakam for 3rd pick, Simons and filler is the perfect trade. BUT I'd guess Masai probably wants Sharpe and 7 1st rounders as part of that trade too and this is why we'll be running back the same flawed lineup lol.

No that is the kind of move I’d expect.

The rumor I heard was #3 straight up for Zion, which could make sense for both sides (given Zion's upside and injury risk) and Pels want to pair BI and Scoot

A guy who has missed 200 games over four seasons, has shown no ability to maintain a healthy weight that will help him avoid injury, and seems to have every injury suddenly extend into near season long issues? That guy?

Portland can go ahead and do that and watch it blow up in their faces. Siakam may not be as good Zion, but like he actually plays and can be relied on. I don't think that much leverage at all unless Portland really would love risking the #3 pick for potentially absolutely nothing.

I doubt most teams want to pay Siakam almost $50 million a year for the next four years after his contract is up. That wouldn't be to far of from what Beal has left on his deal at 4/$207.

This. Others pre emptying Toronto move. Zion is an unreliable and mostly unavailable player.... high risk....

The game of chicken is being played between Dame and Portland's FO. Neither wants to be the one that initiates the deal of Dame out of Portland.

Scoot is going at 2 to Charlotte, or possibly Pelicans, if they move Zion. Portland would only consider moving the 3rd pick, if they don't trust Miller.

I predict Hornets/Pelicans make a deal centered around Zion/Scoot swap....I think Blazers try and move the pick but no deal happens so they just select Miller.....Lillard going to ask out going to Miami.....We pick 13, Try and resign FVV, Lose GTJR for nothing and run it back with the same squad minus GTJR and add a Rookie to replace him....

We have another losing season with no draft pick next year.....We then go into next offseason with OG/Siakam as Free agents...We lose OG for nothing and sign Siakam to the supermax....

This is my prediction

What if they trade:
Simons, Little, S&T Reddish, Keon Johnson, Sharpe +3

Siakam and OG

Dame

Grant

+ MLE + Thybulle, 23, 43

Is that enough? They could be very good. Or maybe they stink cuz Dame is overrated?

POR politely declines.

POR should keep Sharpe and if that is a deal breaker that’s fine.

Yeah well thats the projection hes going by.....Hes clearly too loyal to FVV/Siakam and believes they can compete for a title after having zero evidence of it for the past 4 seasons now.....Even if we have this want to trade Siakam this offseason we all know that has a slim chance of actually happening....

There were already rumors OG wants to go to a different team and wanted a bigger role....Whenever you hear rumors like that you have to take them serious.....If we have another meh season and OG feels he can do better elsewhere im sure that will happen next season if we hold onto him while making no changes....Its very big possibility we lose him in free agency...

I think Masai chose his path when he made the deal at the deadline with Yak....I think he actually thinks he can win with Siakam/FVV as the guys....And that will be his downfall
