Goodwin and Todd

Having not really heard of these guys, what should the Phoenix suns expect from Goodwin and Todd

Goodwin is a nice player for his contract. Pesky on defense, plays within himself on offense. Can shoot a bit when open, can make some tough shots occasionally.

Todd is one of the worst players I've seen. He looks completely clueless on the court, I would be surprised if he gets another contract in the NBA.

From Todd, less than nothing. Goodwin was a feel good make the team out of nowhere guy
who had moments of actual productivity. He plays hard. He's an NBA player. Todd, not so much.

Yeah, Goodwin plays his tail off every second on the court. Looked MUCH better than our #10 pick Johnny Davis (who is a big bust IMO). He can play regular season minutes for you guys.

Todd is straight trash. Dude sucks. He was only in the deal so we could get his guaranteed salary off the books.

Todd is a prototype modern NBA forward with through the roof potential. Just waiting for his opportunity, Washington has kept him down in the G-league because we didn’t have any playing time/opportunity with the big club.

He’s sort of like a mix between an Evan Mobley and Pascal Siakam with better BBIQ

Goodwin is a keeper. He works his tail off. Pesky on ball defender. He needs to keep improving his shot. But he overcomes his shortcomings with playing hard.

I don't see it with Todd. Kid was below average in the G-League with both the Ignite and Go-Go.

Todd never showed me he could shoot the ball. If he could, he probably would have
gotten more opportunities. But in the brief time he played in an NBA game, he was
not good.

Goodwin was my favorite Wizard this past year. Great on ball defender, hustled his tail off every possession… and could score a bit too. The kid will have a long and productive NBA career. He’ll not only be in the Suns rotation, he’ll end up a really good contributor.

Goodwin is good player, especially at the price. I'm more upset about losing him than I am Beal. Todd, OTOH, is not an NBA-caliber player, that should become apparent fairly quickly.

Goodwin is a wonderful bench player.

Todd is a horrible busy and might not even start for the sharks in a few years.

Reading this makes me lose confidence that Podziemsky and Cissoko will have a future in the NBA.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Goodwin is fine as a 12th man. Todd will be in china soon.

Why else would Tommy hand him a multi-year guaranteed deal?

Todd is not good enough to play in China. If he keeps practicing, he might get a bench role in the Dupont Circle Stead Park Rec League

Goodwin is a feel good story. Came out of nowhere, worked his arse off, gave 100%, pesky D, and played within himself. He can hit the open shot, but can’t create well for himself. He does well in finding the open player, and/or delivering the ball to a spot. He is a 2nd PG on a good team. He is good value for the cost.
Todd has some potential but just has mot put it together. He may never put it together. If he did, he is an end of the bench, break glass in case of, type of F. There are better options available for the cost.

Todd was the worst player on the Go-Go this year. He’s not getting a contract overseas even.

Sounds like the cost of Goodwin was we had to also take on Todd. I expect nothing from Todd but Goodwin seems like a nice kid to have on the team. Always appreciate players who doesn't demand shots/touches just to play hard out there (*cough* Ayton).

Yeah but at this rate you're gonna see 25 minutes a night of Todd.
