Pick #11 - another poll

Post#1 » by VFX » Mon Jun 19, 2023 7:24 pm

I think this pick is more interesting than pick #6.

Obviously picking #6 can inform who they will take at #11, so I’m adding the ability to pick up to 3 options.

Who do you all have and why for your top 3 options at pick #11 assuming it isn’t moved?

My top 3 choices have changed significantly.

I’m currently at:

Wallace
Bufkin
Dick

Bufkin is the highest riser to me. He just has a more complete game than a lot of other options.

Need Gradey if he's gone then we need shooting one way or another.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

If they keep #11, I think it depends a lot on what they do at #6.

If Bufkin is still there at pick 11 I will be doing cartwheels in my living room. He and Black are the two most undervalued players in this draft and I'm hoping we somehow come away with both.

I like most of the players on the OP list better than the list of options at #6. I really hope we trade 6 for a player and a later pick...I'd be happy to come away with Simons, #11 and #23 (rather than 11 and 6)...I'd add Dariq Whitehead, Jett Howard, and Podzmieski

or #6 for #15 and AJ Griffin, or Agbaji and #16, or something around Herro and 18, or Poole and 19...obviously, huge variation in value of this list, some we add value and maybe cap space, some they add something - but you get the point.

I also like this group of 3 for the 11th pick. I’m just struggling to figure out rotations if we also go with Black (or Cam) at 6 though…

Hypothetically speaking, if we go with Black and Gradey, we can make that work with both guys being able to play SG and SF (Black playing mostly PG though). Now, if we go with Black and Bufkin (or Wallace), the FO has to make moves immediately and I’m not sure I love the idea of moving off of Cole yet due to his recent improvement and I’m a staunch ‘Don’t Trade Suggs’ guy… so not sure what we should do.

Why is Keyonte George fall so far on this board? He was a darling just last week.

I picked Keyonte, Coulibaly and Hawkins. I also do not think Coulibaly is going to fall that far. He is a top 10 pick right now. If he is there at 11, I'd love to have him

because some of us are not sure he is that good a prospect

Interesting that a lot of people wouldn’t mind Bufkin or Dick. Wallace got more votes than I thought he would.

Bufkin is my preference, but I think Dick is the conventional wisdom pick, and I don't think it's a bad one. I could see and get behind Lively and/or Hawkins as well.

Only ones I’m kinda opposed to are Sensabaugh and JHS. And neither are going to make me want to throw something at the tv if we pick them. WeltHam can’t mess this draft up imo.

That said, hoping for Bufkin/Dick/Bilal for the poll.

At this point, I am only enjoying speculating who they will actually draft, why it isn't specifically Keyonte, and why / what direction were going from here.

Given that "write-in" is a choice, I will go with Victor Wembanyama. I think he would be a value pick at #11.
