That last caption is what makes this Dame to Miami rumor such a comical exercise in offseason torture. Take a deep breath and realize our best offer is a repetitive asset to them of Herro 27 mil(Simons-Sharpe 30 total), Robinson 54 mil, Lowry expiring, and currently need a hoop to climb with OKC which should have been done already to offer 3 maybe 4 picks? But probably need a pick just to get OKC to unlock a pick pick pick. Blazers just told our twitter heads and media to go eat a dick tbh

the Heat better start pivoting to a more attainable asset instead of feeding this b ulls hit plan about obtaining Dame, it is not happening, it will not happen. Improve the roster as much as you can and play another season, we might even make the playoffs and the fanbase will be contented.

They won't because then they can tell us the fan base they are going for Whales, secretly they are just stalling and using it as an excuse to not go into the tax. Rinse and repeat. Look at our 3 out of 4 offseason and you see a recurring theme...

nobody is blowing anything, relax this is probably some Blazer's scheme so they look like they tried uniting Bam with his friend.
on your other statement no, i dont think we have anything at this time to get somebody who will get us over the top, some improvement yes but i just dont see KP taking us over the hump unless he can play like an allstar. We have inflicted a lot of damage to our finances with some undesirable contracts, and it has been happening for some time now.

We have 3 1st and can easily unlock a 4th, Herro (who can also be traded for 1sts if needed), and $40M in expiring money. That’s enough to add some pretty significant pieces to put us over the top

From a picks point of view I think we will be fine with about 4-5 FRP's, expirings however won't get it done with Portland, they want a young player, blue chip caliber to continue building. If your using Herro to get your more FRP's that kind off takes that off the board since 3 FRP's isn't going to get it done. Maybe they can find somebody a third team who needs expirings and are willing to forward a young blue chip prospect to Portland.....pause

I really want to think the Heat front office is smarter then this and not that naive and this is all just a media creation. Feeling the Blazers finally got tired of the media frenzy and are looking to throw some serious shade at anyone mentioning Dame to the Heat. Problem now you’ll have Kendrick Perkins fat face saying what a great chance for Portland to offer up the house for Bam.

Swap dame for Bam and the Heat don’t make the finals last year. Allergic to winning? I’ve witnessed 3 championships with this team, 7 finals trips (2 in the last 4 years), 3 ECF trips in the last 4 years. I’m begging the Heat to trade for an all star 3 level scorer this season because 1. It’s their biggest need and 2. Because I’m fuxking addicted to winning, not allergic. I want a championship for this group more than I’ve ever wanted a championship outside of Wades 1st.

Swap Dame for Bam and last years guard(s) for a servicable big and Mia wins the chip

*and if Jimmy was healthy

Without fail, once the playoffs end a portion of the fanbase goes back to thinking Bam is replaceable by the average NBA big man.

After being by far our best player in the finals.

Only Heat fans could hate a late lottery pick that has improved every season of his career, has become the best defender and the world, the 3rd best player at his position, a top 15-20 player in the world (while still improving), the definition of durability, and a proven winner who game impacts winning more than the 2nd best player at his position.

But I’m an idiot when I correct someone who says offensively he’s the same as Clint Capela or his defense isn’t really good because his BPG

Swap Dame for Bam and then we're the Blazers lol

Who's Portland's version of Jimmy in this scenario?

is it enought to land Damian? thats the main horse who will take us up there with the favorites to win it all. Another thing is it seems very difficult to find the appropiate suitor to take on Herro. Things do not look good, which it were different but we are in a very difficult spot.

Maybe, maybe not. Regardless I’m saying with or without dame we have the pieces to make several moves to bolster this roster and go over the top. We were right there

I dont know if "right there" is the way to put it, not everybody can give us 20 points or more in the finals and we were missing another player that can do that in such environment because at the end of the day even if we could not control Jokic we still had Denver as a team scoring less than what they had been scoring in the playoffs, we needed more scoring on our end, so IF we can get a guy that can give us 20 points then i agree we have a chance to win it all.

Normally I wouldn't worry about a team and destination like Portland but Bam does like his women big thick and juicy and the Portland area is know for its food. Now it this was San Antonio I would be worried as Chuck would say, them big women there lol

If we somehow get Bam, I’m updating my signature to include “2024 NBA Champions.” I’m not even waiting for the season to play out.

I think at his age and with his contract expiring Money to clear him off the books and 5 1sts is enough. We’ll see though. He’s an elite player but he’s also going to be making $60M+ at 36. Portlands got to see that as well and if we’re dames preferred choice and are able to come up with 5 picks I think both sides will work a way to get it figured out

If Bam is going to force his way to Portland we had better get defensive pieces.

3 team trade scenario

Robinson, Jovic, 2029 1st round pick to the Timberwolves. They need elite 3pt shooting, and they recoup a 1st rounder they spent on Gobert.

Lowry, Dipo, #18, and J McLaughlin to the Wizards,

Porzingis, Kyle Anderson to the Heat

We’ll our best player was going nuts until he got hurt and we had a 20 PPG guy and elite defender hurt on the bench so while we were 3 wins away from a championship despite all that I would say we were right there lol

Well we need to get Micky out of the tax, best bet may be to trade Bam to SA to 2 1sts since they can absorb his contract. Sign Dwight Howard and it’s basically the same team as last year except we have 2 more picks and aren’t in the tax

I posted in the Blazers forum and asked their fans what the thought process is on all this.

The moderator replied, that Dame is their Wade.

They do not want to trade him at all, and want to try with him. It's not about logic.

I can sympathize, because we did the same thing with Dan Marino. We would never trade him under any circumstances, and we went down fighting trying to get Danny the help he needed to get his much deserved Super bowl ring. Unfortunately, Dolphins failed him. That's Dame's future. no ring.

Would bring in Porzingis, but no need for Andersen. It won't take much for Jovic to equal him or be better next year
