Taking a look this resets the timeline, youll end up having to then find a home for Jimmy, zero way you take Portland's package and are going to find yourself back in the Finals with rookies coming in regardless of how amazing they are. I am sure its gonna go really well with Jimmy seeing Bam get shipped off and have to start having young players running around the team. Bam is the type of piece that is the focus of all our schemes, like our roster from top to bottom is predicated on Bam as a small ball 5 on both offense and defense, you ship him out. You are looking at completely re-structuring, something that can be done with all those picks but it won't happen in a year, or two, at best your looking at 2026-2027 before this even looks good.

Yep, you trade Bam for a package like that and you just shut the door on a Jimmy championship in Miami

After a final run there's 0 chance of Heat going rebuild. Only way Heat trade Bam is for a MVP candidate type player i.e. Embiid or for no 1 pick. Neither which are available. The whole Portland thing is turning out like KD, Giannis where's the bunch of rumours and nothing really happens. If by start of FA, there's no traction with Dame. Heat should move on and explore other moves.

i agree but the fact that we fall short tells us that this team doesnt have what it takes to win it all. if they run it back2back with minimal changes i can assure you that our next season is going to be uglier.

but hey i could be very wrong. i gave them 53 wins before the last season started and i got it dead wrong. so i could be wrong here too :lol:

Miami had an incredible run in the playoffs, but the 84 games before that run wasn't looking too good. It's not like Miami is a strong challenger for the title, they have a chance as long as they play great defense and Butler can go ballistic in the playoffs, because when he came down to earth, so did this team. Miami lost 7 of the last 9 playoff games in this last run.

It's quite possible Miami's roleplayers just caught on fire at the times they needed to.
