I'm not sure why this makes you feel so uneasy. This would be such a win for Boston. Zinger is a health risk, yes. So isn't Brogdon. Case and point in the ECF's. When you look at overall impact on winning, Zinger far surpasses the impact Brogdon brought to the team. Zinger not only stretches the floor effectively, but he can shoot over pretty much anyone. His post-game is smooth. Zinger is a threat at all 3 levels offensively which will do wonders stretching the floor for JT/JB. And vice versa, Zinger on single coverage can COOK people.
Defensively, he's going to struggle staying in front of some guys, but if he's on the floor with Timelord or AL, you now have multiple players that can block shots and protect one another. Not to mention Boston has really good perimeter defense.

Brad is a basketball genius. I'm really starting to think that. 1 super star in Tatum. 2 supporting stars in JB/Zinger. Perimeter defenders in Smart/White...Tatum & Brown long wing defenders. Interior defenders. This team has EVERYTHING. The pieces will fit.

Injuries? You cannot worry about that. It's part of the game. Even with guys missing time, this team is going to be LOADED. Not to mention Brad has a whole offseason to shape the roster.

Porzingis is a much much much bigger injury risk and if he plays well this year you have to give him max money.

Al, Gallo, Rob and KP…. walking wounded.

A little bit the same, but… he got his shot, and these guys all love LA so there’s that.

If people wanted Beal as a 3rd option, they are going to lose their mind when they see Boston with a 20ppg center.

JT/JB/KP will be the best current trio in basketball.

Yeah Zinger makes a ton of sense roster wise. Think about the lineup flexibility too!

Can go HUGE with Smart or White at PG, JB/JT/Zinger/Rob or Al. The lineups are going to be long and absolutely devastating to opposing defenses trying to stop Boston.

Not to put the cart before the horse because this deal isn't even official yet, but the roster make-up has the potential to be #1 offense and #1 defense in the league

I was thinking the same thing.I liked Brogdon, and his demeanor (unlike JT and Grant with the constant complaining and throwing their hands up at the refs every other time up the court) but Boston cannot roll with and Horford and Williams next season and Boston has enough guards to make up for Borgdon.

Ya a HUGE upgrade over the #2 offense and #2 defense.

If it's only Brogdon for Porzingis, value-wise Celtics win the deal.

Problem is Porzingis is white version of Ayton. Becomes bitchy if he doesn't get his touches in the post, hence why Dallas salary dumped him to Washington. C's offense is built to avoid mid-range shots.

Tatum and Brown are getting close to 20 shots per night, is Porzingis gonna accept being a stretch 5 averaging 15 points a night playing for a new contract? Plus, Brogdon was very popular in the locker room, is that gonna affect the mode toward Kristaps?

If he accepts his role as a 3rd banana, he can be a great addition. On the positive note, if it doesn't work you only lost Brogdon and can cut ties in February or next summer.

Poor Brogdon, gets to play with Kawhi and George in LA making 22.5 million dollars (assuming 3 way rumors are corrrect).

If the Celtics acquire Porzingis it will be the first time I've been right about a target in about 10-12 years.

Not to read too much into this but it says Clips sending draft compensation to Wizards. Doesn’t say anything about Boston doing so lol.

Did Porzingis pick up his player option?
Deadline is today.

Do not care at all. Brogdon was good, had a great regular season, got hurt, and honestly could/should have been a better leader based on how much he sounds like Obama. Honestly talked beyond his role a bit as the season wound down — seemed to talk to the media more than to the players he’s supposed to direct/lead/organize (can’t say he didn’t try, but mostly he seemed to quickly settle into looking for his shot).

Good dude! Good bye.

LOL I see your point but Clippers are not contenders anymore since KL is done.

Couldn't agree more about the 22.5 million bucks though.

The only negative I’ll add is I am not a fan of the “Now Pritchard can slide in for Brogdon!” excitement I’m seeing online.

And this is coming from a big fan of Pritchard his first year here. But isn’t that the reason we went out and got Brogdon last season?

There’s got to be a better FA guard out there to take these minutes than Pritch.

Chris Paul ? He’s not going to LA now.

Watch this trade be some BS where Boston gets a second round pick and some sort of trade exception
