Very unlikely. I assume any potential S&T with Boston involves Hardaway.

Grant at 19M per might be too much money?

More than I’d want to pay, but that’s probably about what his range is. Anywhere in the 15-20 range is about what I’d expect him to get on the open market

I'd happily pay Ayton 30 instead of paying Grant 20.
Would anyone say Grant is a top 5 SF or PF? Not even a top 10 while Ayton is definitely in that top 10 with decent potential.

Nico is probably on panic mode in his office right now with the draft so close but no takers yet for the 10th pick. Maybe we draft Lively for some other team right before Silver gets on the mic.

Grant will be BYC in a S&T, it won't be simple.
He's a DFS level player, 15/yr is more than enough, I think signing him to full MLE is simpler.

I get jealous Everytime I see teams like the Celtics getting gifted.

I may not like KP but he damn sure would be a nice pick up for the Celtics.

Cmon Nico give us something to salivate about. I have to stop getting my hopes up.

Some reports are saying Mavs are indeed drafting Lively. Then they'll resign Pinson and Powell for cheap, maybe add someone via MLE if Bertans indeed gets traded somehow and call it a day.

Then we'll hear the usual. Sometimes it's better to do nothing. Same **** we keep hearing for the past 5 years. "We drafted Lively, going to be great someday".

Washington got the other Morris brother and #30. Considering Dinwiddie helped the Mavs get to the WCF I’d say the two trades are about equal. It really will come down to what #30 turns into and how much Kyrie helps the Mavs if he resigns.

They got dead contracts and #30 for him, better than what Nico got, but not by much.
Celtics are a great FO, Nico should learn from their MO.

Everything I’ve read says the Mavs want to totally redo the center position. To me that says they have no interest in bringing back Powell. They do apparently want to make a run at Kuzma.

Not sure how that’s much better than what Nico got for KP. Dinwiddie alone is better than anyone they will get at #30. If Kyrie resigns and helps the Mavs get back to the playoffs he’s also better than anyone Washington gets at #30.

Smh I do not care about anyone in the draft unless they can contribute immediately especially a big man. I absolutely do not like drafting big men as they usually take forever to develop IF they develop.

Nico just seems so passive as a GM like he doesn’t have his ear to the NBA streets. We tanked and got lucky to keep this pick, there is no more building through the draft as we need better roleplayers.
We need to ensure Luka is able to contend.

They got Brogdon and Gallo, then Clippers swooped in, Brogdon and Dinwiddie are similar calibre players, Gallo is dead money, but so is Bertans.

Avdija and Kyrie as teammates would make the Mossad monitor the Mavs 24/7

So it seems the Clippers got their point guard in Brogdon. Wonder if they still get CP3.

Damn,I know it's early but the more days go by the more I have a feeling the Mavs Will be left with scraps....Just hope they don't use #10 Just to dump Bertans....and I'm not that keen on them drafting Lively,I Just don't see the appeal

Emphasis on scraps, it’s been happening the past couple years.

Word is teams are fielding calls from teams wanting Bertans because of his contract. He only has $5M guaranteed after this season. They won’t have to include #10 to dump him. That doesn’t mean they won’t package them together but they don’t HAVE to use 10 to move Bertans. THJ is another story. They might actually be better off holding on to THJ for 1 more season. Then his expiring contract becomes an asset.
