I guess both Delon Wright and Monte Morris are available

OK, so that means Paul and/or Westbrook is available. I take either to split time with Conley.

Monte Morris for Prince and 53?

I am hesitating between Morris and Wright. I saw some metrics saying that Morris is one of the worst rim pressure guards in NBA, on other hand he doesn't turn the ball over. While Wright last season was one of the best in some defensive metrics...

UPD: here is that tweet

I just wonder if Wright-NAW-Moore backcourt from the bench can be terror in defense against opponents on perimeter, while Anderson playing backup PG and connector on defense for bench unit

Josh Minott, 45th pick, 2022 draft. Hinkie Special. Connolly said he thinks of the project as his 2023 1st.

Sign-and-trade candidate Naz Reid (if a team wants to outbid the cap space teams). NAW too.

Second Round picks

2024: least favorable between MEM and WAS
2025: UTA
2026: UTA
2026: least favorable between SA, MIA, IND

It’s doubtful any single asset could bring a first back on its own, so what would we package?

Two teams that might be looking to move a late first are CHA (2, 27, 34, 39, 41) and IND (7, 26, 29, 32, 55).

There goes those two picks:

Maybe that benefits us?

The Denver/TC connection...

Maybe Denver went out to get a pick for a different deal?

As much as I love Westbrook's ferocity, he and Gobert would be a terrible fit. Paul can't stay healthy and next season we need to look for two PG's potentially.

Just view all of Westbrook's shoots as lob pass to Gobert :D :D :D

Of course I'd do that.

The fact Doogie is reporting our interest all but confirms Jones won't be coming here though.

How about Paul George for Gobert?

Not my cup of tea.

Hasn't played over 56 games in a season since 2018-2019 with OKC.

2019-20: 48
2020-21: 54
2021-22: 31
2022-23: 56

He does have one less year on his contract compared to Gobert.

I am also hesitant to push McDaniels to PF.

I don’t really understand these rumors from MEM that they are shopping Tyus. With Ja’s suspension, and the fact that they’ve played even better with Tyus at the helm, I would have assumed he wouldn’t get traded. I know MEM is a small market, and has to be very sensitive about adding payroll, but I feel like they made the decision to pay Tyus last year when they allowed Kyle Anderson to reach free agency.

For us, yeah, I love me some Tyus, especially next to Ant, but Mike Conley has a pretty important role here. He won’t be just feeding Gobert - he’ll be teaching others how to do it, particularly Ant. Moreover, he is one of the NBA’s most professional players, and we want his method of approaching the NBA (on and off the court) to rub off on the impressionable Ant. I’d still probably do this deal, but I don’t think it’s clearly a win for MIN.

Why would we want Kennard? Conley was the superior PG in the playoffs and down the stretch , wolves need real value coming back.

Because he's one of the best shooters in the game and he doesn't hurt you on defense. A guy any team would love coming off their bench.

Meh. On his contact it isn't some great prize.

I'd rather have him than Prince. And if the meat of the trade is Tyus for Conley (who I'd hate to lose), Luke is a nice secondary piece coming back.

The extra $3M before hitting the luxury tax line could have an actual impact on the Wolves off-season.

Yea this could be really big for us. Great news.

[Fischer] Orlando has left various personnel with the impression that drafting a guard like Ausar Thompson or Anthony Black would lead the Magic to exploring trade opportunities for one of Jalen Suggs or Cole Anthony.

I am going to have to go back to what I said. Prince makes a little more than half what Kennard makes.

I don't trust any of them, but that is what you get out of that caliber player. I am not saying the trade is the end of the world, it is moving deck chairs. I am not a Tyus fan, but whatever. The one thing that might be of value is Kennard's club option next year... I like that better than the player.
