With you on this one!
Love me some Wendell Carter... but I can just as much envision a player like Lively (in the future) providing the switchable defense with massive rim protections working great. Annnnnnd Wendell's contract could still be beyond worthy as one of our bench bigs
I'm in the same boat as WCJ. He's come a long way from his Chi-town days. He's improved on both ends to be a reliable player. Very even-kilted on defense enough to challenge shooters and post up shots. On offense, he's reliable for mid-range or perimeter shots when his number is called. Plus his slashing ability that leads to lobs or slam dunks helps benefit the Magic as well.
He's got one of the best value contracts in my opinion. Love it! Hope he expands his game more. Like markelle said to him in the 2021/22 season.... "Play big"
People say he's too small and I go

A player like lively would give a whole new flavor as well. Imagine knowing that when the starting lineup leaves... You have to deal with lively and hopefully a healthy JI? Lol
But in 3 years from and asset management point of view ... Having a pivot option would be great as well as lively will be cost controlled through the rest of Carter's contract.
