I'm physically ill. But this is worse than when I got covid.

I get it though, Brad. Team needed a shakeup. Hope you're headed in the right direction.

I will miss Smart for sure. I don't care what anyone says, he was a winning player and gave his everything every time he was on the court. The number of times Smart played through injuries was insane and that likely hurt his crazy defense which is probably why he was traded. Anyway, I don't live too far away from Memphis. I may go see some Grizzlies games this coming year.

Warts and all, my favorite Celtic since the day he was drafted. If everyone had his heart we'd be unbeatable. I'm sad.

Smart fought tooth and nail for this team, sometimes too hard. Even though many of us questioned his shot selection, no one ever questioned his heart. It will be interesting to see his career path now. Good luck, Marcus, and thanks for the years of leaving it all on the court and bleeding green!

Wow wow wow. What can you say. I, like many, in no way saw this coming. Unreal.

I honestly am not a big fan of Marcus's, never really have been. Regardless, I always respect his love for Boston and the fans. Don't get that kind of connection often. He will deservedly get a standing O when he returns.

I'm sure I'll come around it but this sucks. We just traded our heart and soul for a guy that was a cancer in 2 out of the 3 teams he was on. Right after his best playoff run.

I love you Marcus. You'll be greatly missed. Green for life.

That's all i got. Damm I'm devastated
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Such a great day for those who wanted him gone for years.
Will be looking forward to check these guys' reactions every time this team needs a leader.
The greatest Celtic of the decade. Played like one. Lived like one. He will be missed for years to come.
This is a really sad day for those who love passion, heart, dedication.

Not his fault that Cs didn't have a top 20 all-time player during his time here to win us a title. Like I said on another thread, he's a floor raiser, not someone you rely on to get you over the top.

The other time when I couldn’t read through an appreciation thread and/or post anything of substance is when we traded Pierce.

I hope this trade works out as well as that one did.

Thank you, Marcus. Smartacus. My 21st century Dennis Johnson turned into Grindfather Part II. Go teach Ja how to be a man — switch him from guns to robeses. Thanks for being one hell of a Celtic.

Okay two more things:

1. Marcus LEARNED — he took the 3 against MIA in game 6 this year quick because he knew they’d run out of time against PHI in game 4(?) and didn’t want to repeat it.

2. Can someone please link my all time favorite Marcus highlight — series ending okay against PHI several years ago — he feeds Tatum for a go-ahead bucket at one end, and then somehow teleports back the length of the court to intercept the inbounds heave like a cornerback?

Lol I didn’t remember half of it — the number of insane things Smart does here? The only words that come to mind are COMPETE and LOVE. Thanks Marcus.

I go to sleep for a couple hours, have to pee and wake up to this?!?! What next Brad, are you going to trade me too??? I liked the first deal a lot better so screw the Clippers and this hurts. Marcus was the embodiment of Celtic Pride and I can’t wait for his first game back to Boston. The crowd better go crazy for him and the video tribute better be legit!!
