These are not smart moves by Boston in my opinion. BOS lost to GSW because of lack of PG play. They lost to the Heat because of lack of PG play. BOS needs a guy who will get them assist, set up Brown and Tatum, and a guy who can control the pace so that games don't get out of hand like in the MIA series.

Its all about contracts. With the new CBA, contracts are more important than talent. Smart is only getting $19M per, while a guy like Beal is getting $52M per, and thats why Beal couldn't net any trade value for the Wiz but Smart can.

This is why I keep saying i would trade Collins and Hunter and 15 for a 2nd round pick

On the other side of the trade, I would have much preferred to grab Smart for the cost of a backup PG and a late 1st Rounder instead of the massive overpay we committed for DeJounte.

KP would of been perfect for us. The same with Marcus Smart! I'm intrigued to see how Marcus Smart does being a veteran with Memphis. Things could get interesting
