So who is going to start the "Portland Damian Lillard trade rumors" thread? And when are we going to throw out the OG + GTJ + 4 FRP ?

We aint doing **** either at the trade deadline or on draft day. Gonna be a lot of unhappy people tonight when we, once again, stand pat.

yes the FO for the last decade has done nothing, besides gay trade, bargnani traade, demar trade, ibaka trade, gasol trade .......

people see 29 teams news and then compare it to 1 team news, ofcouse the totality of moves for 29 teams is higher, but when you comapre teams 1 to 1, raptors are no less active than other teams.

taking scoot kinda made sense because he would be the natural replacement for dame, but you really gonna have dame request out and draft miller? lol enjoy

I do think Portland will keep the pick if Scoot falls to them. They will trade the pick if Hornets gets Scoot.

I don't think we should trade for 3rd pick of it is Miller. I don't think he has the tool. I previously was low on Scoot, but Miller is even lower in a way.

I think some team that is desperate to rebuild with some older asset (Hello Bulls or Nets) will try to trade for the #3 and Simons. I just hope it is not us going into this bid war.

Atleast this means the Portland/Raps convo is done lol.

Siakam is not getting moved for an effing idiot in Miller

But he (or OG) could get moved for Dame - especially if Fred moves on.

But tonight is decision time and I think by the end of it, one of Pascal or OG will be on the Blazers.

Pretty sure you have it backwards and there is a good chance Dame is traded tonight.

Neither will happen. Portland is a mid franchise with a stupid FO. They’ll try to head into camp with Dame, Scoot, and Ant

Just as many championships as TOR somehow.

my sentiment all along. I would do the Siakam trade if it’s Scoot. but Miller? would need Sharpe or it’s not worth it, Siakam is too good…so a Siakam deal probably doesn’t happen

I think this makes an OG trade more likely (Indiana?)

Doubt that it’ll be 4 FRP. Moreso OG/GTJ/2 protected firsts. Or Pascal and 2x firsts. I think Gary makes a world of sense beside Dame - and Scottie is the new Pascal.

PG Dame
SG Gary
SF OG
PF Scottie
C Poeltl

Portland:

PG Simons
SG Sharpe
SF Grant/(Brandon Miller @3)
PF Pascal
C Nurkic

That’s not bad either.
I believe in Masai.

If the #3 + for Pascal thing doesn't happen, but if the Blazers are still trying to find guys to help Dame, I wonder if they would consider something like Boucher for the #23 pick?

Boucher has his limitations, but is still a useful bench piece and the kind of player Portland doesn't really have (and at least the value of your average mid-20s draft pick). And for the Raps, it would help clear some money from the books, and if Koloko and Precious develop at all, they should probably be getting those minutes for the Raptors anyway.

This could totally happen, especially if Charlotte moves Lamelo to SG.

I think Brandon Miller would still be the play for them though.

For starters, he’s 3 years younger than him and was already better than Precious last year.

He’s on a rookie scale deal, Precious’s is up after this season.

Thirdly, he’s just simply a better prospect than him. Physically and mentally.

If people can bootlick Masai trading a first for a second for Thad Young. I’m sure people can be okay with moving down 6 spots for Kuminga.

Ya but Portland has been in the NBA for twice as long, and last won 46 years ago vs Raps 4 years ago.

Trailblazers being 2X older than the Raptors is the “somehow”.

1976. LOL.
Blazers have only 3 conference finals appearances since the birth of the Toronto Raptors. Y'all ended up getting swept in 2 of those 3 WCF appearances.

I’m not a fan of the Thad trade, but I accept it because Koloko is what we needed - only he wasn’t developed by Nick. Can you quantify using stats why you think Kuminga is better? I hear you on the age argument, but that isn’t a strong consideration for me when keeping players around. Boucher was overage and he has worked out just fine.

Edit: the rookie scale deal also holds some sway, but again - not worth dropping down in the draft for.

Precious is better defensively by quite a bit and is arguably better offensively too.
I believe in Masai.
