FWIW. Sheena definitely knows some things, but she's been more reliable on the Panthers front than Hornets. she definitely hears things and she doesn't pipe up in this way too often. but again, FWIW, which maybe is not much.

Worst case scenario at this point for me

Zion about to make it rain at Bojangles and Cookout.

Edit: Someone on the Hornets Reddit page said they bet $20k that Scoot is the pick. If that person doesn't work for the Hornets and knows for sure who we're picking I hope for their sake they're right because damn.

I just had my yearly draft day dream. This time we traded the pick for Karl Anthony Towns.

I guarantee you after just 1 year VW wont be in the top 10 redrafts of this draft and wont be a starter after 3 years.

Idk dude. I've seen takes that said teams would still draft him number 1 even if they had tk wait 2 years for him to play.

I guarantee the NBA world will have a ton kf patience for wemby...our pick, not so much I imagine.

I was sooooo happy we got pick 2 *actually wish we had pick 3* so we wouldn't have the WHAT IF if it presents itself.

I am a SPURS fan but I wish the spurs had pick 3 instead cuz id rather scoot or miller over VW

I knew Zion and Wiseman would bust. I thought Chet would be better.

Zion is like 100 times more talented than Jalen McDaniels. Feels like you weren't predicting Zion would be injured, you were predicting that McDaniels was a better basketball player, which at the time was and still is completely divorced from reality.

Actually, I do consider potential injuries taking place when weighing players... Thats a HUGE weighing scale for me. IMO McDaniels wins by a landslide.

Less money
actually plays
doesn't miss out on drafting other players due to being tied up waiting for zion...

Must have Zion AND Murphy to be worth taking the risk. Send them Gordo and Bouk. Trade Rozier and the 27 to move up for a reserve SG or PG.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Agreed. If Zion is being offered, Charlotte needs to insist Murphy be included to compensate for Z's injury history, contract, etc. Otherwise, just keep the pick and take Scoot or Miller.

Three players I have been wrong about in recent that I thought would be bust were

Luka - I am not that big on Luka. Not that great a defender or pure ball player
Ja Morant
Anthony Edwards

------
Players that I have been right about as of recent

Colby Jones, Dyson Daniels, Jaime Jaquez, Shaedon Sharpe, Andre Jackson, Troy Murphy III, Ayo Dosunmu, Josh Primo (so far)
Tarquavian Smith, Azoulas Tubelis,

Every team does this, but it’s always wild to see how badly teams overrate their own assets. We’re saying if we trade for Zion we need more stuff beyond just Zion, whereas I can guarantee you Pelicans fans will be saying they need more than just #2.

Of course, Zion is that good of a player when he's healthy but is he ever healthy? I don't think it's overrating the #2 to want more when he's shown no ability to stay on the floor.

That's fine because I don't want him at all

This goes into what I've mentioned about it being guaranteed that someone in a Zion trade is getting screwed over. Both sides want compensation against that.
