FFS, well that f*cking leak all but squashes any hopes for Scoot.

Prepare for No Man's Land for a MINIMUM of next 3 years while Fred & Pascal waste their "prime" & while the franchise wasted their opportunity to add another young star to team up with Scottie for the next near decade. But instead elected to triple down on a hand that could take them no higher than being mediocre. We get curbstomped year in & out through the best years of Fred & Pascal, have no young star developing with Scottie (save us Bilal lol) and then it's how do we create a team around Scottie with aging "stars" who's peak value was right now?!

What a horrible (lack of) vision for the franchise. Please prove me wrong Masai, don't let that be our fate lol

I dont understand. Clearly the deals are there, the guy is not giving anyone a guarantee that he’s re-sign. You really think it would have been different 4 months ago??

A team knowing they could have Pascal for 2 playoff runs vs 1 run is pretty different

Also, odds are Pascal would resign if traded. Probably just won’t commit to something before he actually gets dealt

Am i the only one whose happy a star actually wants to stay with us? as long as we dont hand out NTC like washington this is more than fine. Siakam's trade value on a 4 yr regular max will only be higher (compared to now) once he is trade eligible.

Siakam is obviously one of the best PFs in our beautiful league. Don't see us trading him away if we're retooling. We gotta upgrade the horrible bench and the guard spots

His motivation isnt staying in Toronto. His motivation is making All-NBA and getting 60mill/year on his next contract. Toronto offers him the best chance at getting ludicrous amounts of money on a team where he is the undisputed number 1. He gets traded to like portland and dude isnt even favoured to make the all-star game

ya. If he does, ill be surprised. He was on the cusp of all-nba last year, and, if he stays in Toronto as the number 1, his numbers will put him in the ballpark again. A little more winning and he's getting the supermax

If #3 for pascal/OG really is dead, i just hope the blazers keep it and actually rebuild properly. If they end up trading it for a player = to PS i'll be so rattled haha. Good news I can still force the trade in 2K :cry:

Don't create a narrative out of thin air. Could just as easily be "dead" based on earlier reports of Masai wanting POR to include Sharpe and POR (like all other reports of opposing FOs getting sick of ours) did in fact get sick of it and say forget it....just as they did last year when Masai pushed for too much for OG.

The Blazers were kicking the tires and were never serious due to his age and contract — fillers/#23 is what was hinted.
