What if the Magic get to draft Ausar and than later down the road, Amen comes to join his brother in Orlando and our starting backcourt in a few years is the Thompson brothers? If Ausar goes 5th, it should be easy to take Taylor Hendricks at 6.

We're not going to know what the team is gonna do, but it's fun to speculate and flame them when it doesn't match what we expected!

That being said, I have trust in this front office, unlike the Otis and Hennigan years.

Among the players likely to be available at #6, Hendricks is my personal selection. I don't think he's a superstar, but I think he can be a very good player. He has that athletic big man vibe you can find from plenty of not-quite-good-enough-but-they-play-hard-and-aren't-the-literal-worst guys in the G-League and on the end of benches in the NBA. But I think he adds a legitimate level of skill to that archetype. Not enough to be a superstar, but enough to be an impact player.

Or maybe he's just another Stromile Swift or Tyrus Thomas and busts. That's why I'm not a betting man.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

are you prepping the board for a Hendricks draft choice?

I think that could happen.

There is a lot of wing depth in this Draft and maybe get your swing like Dick or Bufkin later. George, Hawkins and others also good options.

ive thought Hendricks and then the best SG they think at 11 sounded plausible

What if we draft Black and trade Fultz for Derrick White? Then we'll have a Black and White backcourt.

Predict we wind up taking a bench player at 6 (Bilal ?) and potential starter at 11 ( Hawkins or Grady ) to protect in case of injury. We are an injury away from another lottery season.

After the pick at #6, 4 picks will be made and then The Magic will be up at #11.

Given how their are more swingman than Bigs, The Magic might very well go big at #6.

Taylor won't make it to pick 11, so the team has to decide if they want to grab him at 6 or let him go to a different team? Ausar going 5th, makes the Taylor discussion easier at 6.

I don't think Magic will be drafting based on needs. They gonna select who they think will be the best player down the road, at least for the 6th pick.

Ooooooooo getting closer, I'm all on board the Dick train for the hilarity, but also nailed my colors to the mast that I want shooting, shooting and more shooting
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

Especially given the lack of bigs and the depth at 2/3 in this Draft.

I could see this happening too and would not mind as someone we thought was an option at #6 could slip to #11.

That would be a good haul.

Anyone else like most of the guys at 11? Any of Bufkin, Wallace, Hawkins, Dick would be cool with me. A lot of it depends who we go with at 6

Would you take him 6. I really don't believe he's on the board at 11

Last year it was Jabari in almost all mock. The year before it was Kuminga and Moody. This year its Black and Dick. This front office is very hard to predict that's for sure

Stephen A is twice as wide as Wembanyama.

Ugh was able to talk myself into taking like 6 players at 6 from Hendricks to Keyonte George. I couldn’t talk myself into black ugh this is like my worst case scenario
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

If I know anything about Weltman, It's that he's going to do everything he can to trade 11 for a future pick.
