My feeling is The Magic took Black to have him and Fultz at the point for 4 years. A lot can happen in 4 years but hard to play them together.

Well, Black said it himself he expects someone moved. He already said it, "I want Fultz or Cole or Suggs out of here." What a nice comment from a rookie.

Fultz probably will be here one more season and AB 7-8.

Some nice options about to be available at #11. Hopefully the Magic make me happier with that one.

We're building a team. Not drafting for need. We can address the shooting later.

don't see a star even if he shoots decent way.

no pop,not super athlete.

i can bet he is gonna have an nba carreer tough,he has good qualities,if all connect could be a good"connector" almost as Lonzo was.

Gotta take Whitmore at 11 if he makes it there, right?

We'll see how serious Utah was to climb up for black. Or was that just smoke.

Hello guys! Haven't been active the last season on the board but followed you all :)

ANTHONYYYY BLAAAAACKKKKKKKKK ---> I had a feeling about him being the most Weham guy in our draft range with the 1st pick. I preferred a natural shooter/scorer at the top of the draft but I am super satisfied. I have a really good feeling about this kid. He has a natural BB IQ, smart player, a confident ballhandler, an extremely good and active defender, capable playmaker. You can never have enough talented guards in today's NBA.

He will be extremely good for us. To all haters of this pick, I hope you come around your first disagreement with the selection and just imagine how much more creative we become with AB's shot creation and fluidity. This guy will do wonders for the game of Franz and Paolo Banchero.

Endnote ---> one Anthony in (Black) .... another Anthony out (Cole). will be sad to see him go and have a productive career away from the Magic squad they gelled so well the past years, but life is life. Also not out of the question to move Fultz if interesting offers come in for him. Would be interesting to follow that scenario.
When we ride on our bball enemieZ!

Need more than that as a return at 6

The magic are not contending anytime soon, they have plenty of time if they chose to start Black.

Yeah he said he imagines the Magic will if he is pick. Big difference, especially with agents trying to steer their players to places with opportunity.

Hard to predict either way but if he ends up as a non-injured Lonzo, and you look back at the median skill level of picks in lottery, that is a great outcome

Yes. That would be the greatest drop since Haliburton

PrimeThyme wrote:I don't know what people were expecting at 6. What great shooters in that tier were still on the board? You draft BPA at 6. Fit can come at 11 or free agency,

He wasn't BPA though. Whitmore, Hendricks, Walker have been in our range much longer. Black came into this range yesterday.

Black is a 30% 3pt shooter... eeesh. 3.9 AST to 3.0 TO per game. Like what does he do that's good? Make a fancy pass here and there?

The best thing about drafting Black and the quote he said is that it lights the biggest flipping fire ever under Fultz, Suggs, and Cole.

If I were the FO, I'd keep all four guards for at least 1 full season and see who eats crow between them.

You’re not the only one. Our management is dumpster fire bad.
