I missed that. Anyone have a copy of the quote?

he didn't quite say exactly that....out of context

Reminds me of the quote about .. who was it? Isaac? or Bamba? something about him being in New York and people were like OMG STAY IN NEW YORK IF YOU LOVE IT THEN

I was hoping Hendricks would fall to 11

Even though I don't know Hendricks game, I think I was hoping we drafted him. I think it was because of his defense.

don't see a star even if he shoots decent way.

no pop,not super athlete.

i can bet he is gonna have an nba carreer tough,he has good qualities,if all connect could be a good"connector" almost as Lonzo was.

Hard to predict either way but if he ends up as a non-injured Lonzo, and you look back at the median skill level of picks in lottery, that is a great outcome

don't think could be at that prime level Lonzo,at his best was the super connector piece(was a short period indeed ,sure)

could be a good one tough, even with some differences, better going at rim,but not that good as a passer/playmaker or as a shooter.

No matter what anyone thinks of Anthony Black (I like him and had a few others higher on my board), I trust Weltham and at #11, 2 of Whitmore/ Dick/Bufkin among other swings will be available. Get Black first and then get your swingman. I like it.

Magic are looking for success next season. Starting a rookie PG is most likely not going to get them there

Well, Black said it himself he expects someone moved. He already said it, "I want Fultz or Cole or Suggs out of here." What a nice comment from a rookie.

he didnt say that

lets not make any grand proclamations of a player... or a roster that is building and not anything close to what it will be when competing in the playoffs in a few years from now (I think we can get to the playoffs/playins, but I mean being a threat).

Logic and levelheadedness on draft night? Nonsense!

Except he didn’t say that.

He basically did when he said if the Magic draft him, it probably means they are gonna trade someone away.

Anthony Black is not as similar to Markelle Fultz as many here believe him to be. Yes, they have some common nuances in their playing style, but AB is already miles better defender than Kelle and he will develop his defensive potential even further because the drive and mentality are there from what I see of him.

Also, he is not burdened by multiple serious injuries like Kelle, he's younger and will fit right in with the current Magic roster. I believe he is as dynamic as Kelle, but will be a better shooter than him pretty soon, his shot is not broken like Kelle's in the past seasons.

I am excited to see if Kelle-AB 2-guard lineups are possible and effective, that would be fun to watch. If not, we still have Suggs and Kelle can be sent away soon given his contract details.

One thing is for sure...Magic will be even more fun to watch from now on, future is bright and we will be a dynamic fast-paced team with extremely exciting and versatile guards that are lockdown beasts on defense (Suggs & AB).
