Guys we all want to win, today is draft day not fight day. Let's put aside whatever differences we all have and just root for us to make a good pick, or a quality trade today.

You'll be there soon enough. Maybe then you'll actually appreciate what Pat Riley has done for this organization. Until then, keep whining while we keep winning...

I don’t care about anything that happened in the nba in the 70s or early 80s. So you are right on that. Started on Tim Hardaway/Zo/Mashburn/Dan Thunder, Voshon Lenord. And again, didn’t win anything until we drafted Wade. A guy that your boy Pat didn’t want to draft. Didn’t do anything before Wade. Hasn’t done anything after Wade. That’s all
Man, you are beyond... I'm not going to say what because I'm not looking to get banned from this site, not almost every franchise in the association would kill to do as much nothing as we have since lebron left. We're an elite franchise and it's because of Riley, period. Welcome to my foe list.

It’s because of Wade. And for all that I’m young talk your the one resorting to childish moves like “foes” list. Is it wrong to say we haven’t done anything before Wade? Is it wrong to say we haven’t done anything after? Besides depend on g leaguers that Spo has turned into decent role players. Legit question

Greg from 5 Reasons says that the Heat were shopping Herro to gauge interest in how much draft capital they can get from a team for him in the event they need to generate more picks for a Dame deal.

I'm taking it you're a young guy so I'm going to excuse your ignorance, but I remember this team before Pat Riley. You'll be there soon enough. Maybe then you'll actually appreciate what Pat Riley has done for this organization. Until then, keep whining while we keep winning...

I'm old enough to remember those early 90s Heat too. I was a little kid. I met Rony Seikaly in International Mall once, I think it was a Burdines store.

Let's be real. Riley is incredible. Culture, professionalism, basketball mind. However, we as an organization were CURSED. Those Zo teams could not catch a break. Either the Knicks would send us packing in the 2nd round, or when we finally got past them due to that PJ Brown brawl and all the suspensions... we run into the MJ Bulls, who promptly sent us packing in the ECF. I remember Zo hitting Scottie Pippen on the head accidentally, leaving a knot on his head, and MJ getting mad he refused to shake Zo's hand.

The Knicks and Allan Houston... then Zo gets sick with the kidney thing.

Riley tried HARD. Brought in great guys. Dan Majerle, etc.. I remember it was Dan Majerle that hit the 3 pointer to beat the '96 Bulls in the regular season, making the Heat one of only 10 teams to give the Bulls a loss that season.

But it was DWYANE WADE that changed everything. Be honest. Not riley. We drafted one of the all time GOAT's. 3rd greatest player in his position in history. Wade got us 2006. Wade, in the 2008 Olympics was the one in Lebron's ear and is the reason Lebron/Bosh came down here to play with Wade. Not just Riley, but more of a partnership between Wade and Riley. But Wade is ultimately why.

Heck, even Jimmy Butler. Listen to Jimmy himself. It was Wade who told Jimmy about Miami. To come here, because we do things the way Jimmy does things. All Wade.

Riles put us on the map as a competitive team, but it was Wade who made us a championship organization.

That’s all I said. We did nothing before Wade. We did nothing after him. Jimmy came here because of Wade. And for the last time Pat Riley didn’t want Wade. He needed to be convinced to draft him. Almost messed that up too lol

The Heat didn't begin playing until 1988. We didn't draft Miner until 1992. It sounds like you started following the Heat when Pat came over from NY and rebuilt the roster.

I've been following the Charlotte Hornets since 1957, when they were known as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Leatherwings and they had a guy on the roster named Butch "Swollen Colon" Thompson. The man couldn't hit the broadside of a country barn, but dammit could he rebound the ball. It's a damn shame his career was cut short by a bad case of diverticulitis.

I'm not his biggest fan anymore, but Pat Riley made the Heat matter. Pat Riley put us on the map and made people down here care about basketball.

CP3 is an all time great and hasn't been able to win ****. John Stockton and Karl Malone were both all time greats and weren't able to win **** despite playing together. Simply being an all time great doesn't guarantee championships. Wade may have hit big shots and recruited some guys, but he didn't build the winning culture that allowed that to happen. That was Pat and it started before Wade got here.

Howard getting picked at 11 might cause a slip of someone but not really. So far mocks got the right players going
