Raps taking Dick. Weird. They’ve already got Trent. Maybe it’s a trade?

Yea because rookies at 6 and 11 were really going to make the Magic that much better. Are people suddenly new to the NBA?

yeah but basic problem on this board is always the same: undervaluing the core we have.

and when i say core i mean fultz, wcj and anthony.

we are gonna be good nevertheless next season, how good is to determine and surely these two picks were not decisive anyway.

I'm actually ambivalent about Black. Some people have said he could be as good as Giddey. If that happens, that is a fine pick. The whole Jett Howard stinks of picking someone because of being their friend than picking them for the good of the ORG.

I don't think WeHam will be able to salvage his job after this. Completely horrible night. Of all the combinations we imagined, NOBODY thought Black/Howard with 6 and 11. Daaaaayum.

At first glance this is so disappointing.

I hope to be wrong, but the Howard pick seems so unnecessary.

Gradey Dick shot terribly against the big, bad-ass teams with good defense.
So, I'm kinda okay with not drafting him.

We need to get some investigative journalists on this. Are the DeVos family forcing WeHam to take as many Michigan players as possible? Do we send half our scouts to Michigan games only? There must be some reason for the infatuation.

And Toronto ran up to the podium to pick Liberace.

Defs feels like some Michigan alumni nepotism, but given the success of Franz (and Booker), I trust WeHam’s choice. They haven’t stuffed a draft pick yet in this new rebuild.

I think Howard is more likely to be RJ Hampton than Cole Anthony. Won't be shocked if he didn't get a second NBA contract.

People's reactions are pretty hilarious. Is like everyone turns out exactly like mock drafts lmao.

it's because people decide to become man fans instead of the team fans....so when they pass up on someone they want they jump out the window.....we needed shooting....he's more than adequate there

I kinda disagree, there are players perceived as better than Jett that can shoot, for example Dick, that is why people are upset. Most mocks had Jett going in late in the first round.

but how much better? he's a great 3pt shooter but jett is a shooter as well but his percentage might not be as high because from my eyes he was taking tougher shots off the dribble...i like gradey dick but i think jett is more dynamic, he's not just going to stand in one spot....Jett has a lot more in his bag offensively than gradey

Hawkins shot .333 from 3PT his freshman season and everyone thinks he's a great shooter, ya know?

80% from the FT line suggests the touch is there.

my statement stands, 36%+ from 3 is not tremendous. has zero to do with Hawkins.

Ok I’m over the initial pick. We will see.

I just have to say this Michigan **** is actually as stupid as the long bois stuff. It would have made more sense if it were Bufkin as mocked.

Is there some 6’9 Michigan prospect next year in the draft so I don’t have to read or watch anything beforehand?
