If that's the case, and they're truly indifferent about it, then they should trade Fultz and give Black the keys to the car.

Because if making the playoffs doesn't matter, then get your highly touted rookie point guard those reps and live with the growing pains.

I really do believe Fultz is gone at some point. You can't have Black and Fultz on the floor together with Suggs and Cole.

You can and we will. Our guys who don’t shoot 3’s well will have to learn how to - and find other ways to help the team win.

Fultz/Suggs/Franz/Paolo/WCJ with Cole/Black/Howard/Isaac/Goga off the bench.

Well, the draft is traditionally my favorite day of the year and we picked two of the three guys I didn’t want and predictably punted our 2nd. (Lively was the other guy I didn’t really want)

A terrible night for me in the moment, but I excel at being horribly wrong about draft picks, so that has me optimistic.

Looking forward to Summer League.

GA will be retired then so MIL will probably suck again and ensure that SRP will be in the 30s again.

But what is more important is we fot a returning Magic player.... Mr. CASH CONSIDERATIONS

Question.

On Jett Howard going #11 and The Magic not trading back to get him......

Sometimes you got to get your guy and not risk it.

Teams have players rated differently. Maybe another team had Jett Howard high on their Board too.

Almost as important though...........

How many future first round picks have been traded during The Draft so far?

NONE!

Do you risk losing your guy for a few future 2nds?

The pick has been made and while players many of you liked in Gradey Dick, Cam Whitmore, Kobe Bufkin, Kevonte George and others might have great careers and had been good picks, Jett Howard could be a good player as well and he was #15 on my big board btw.

This is true. I dont blame the Magic. The fact that this guy made it to the green room means there are enough teams that see him as a lotto pick.

Getting picks that far out does not hurt.

The Magic had no room on the 15 man Roster for one and this way they have more flexibility with their two other 2 Way Slots (Kevon Harris in one).

This front office is so pathetic. Zero creativity or aggressiveness in roster building. Terrible use of assets. Constantly reaches in the draft.

Outside of Bamba and Okeke they've done quite well. 2nd round shenanigans excluded.

Pacers take another gun shooter. They’ve got such good drafting.

It just goes to show that as a casual, we're nowhere near it. We just have to wait and see.

It goes to show how on the scouts level, we as fans are casuals. We're not in the gyms nor in the medical office to determine how healthy and reliable these players really are in real time. That's a reality that we as fans have to understand. We can't lead with our emotions because the player(s) we desire may not be whom our team picks during these events every year. Those reasosn helped humbled me a while back. I used to be one of those fans who would get fired up and upset if and when the Magic pick a player I didn't want at times. Don't get me wrong, the Magic have laid eggs on some players in the past. Sometimes, they may get it right. I simply learn to take the emotion out of it. Check by the categories where our weaknesses are and make a list of players who help improve our weaknesses and go from there. Keep the logistics on point. Keep the emotions out. That's how business works forever and always.

If you go by our draft picks over the last 23 years, it appears our scouts also might be casuals. Seriously, look it up, our draft history has been dreadful. Most players were either outright busts or injury prone. Over 23 years we've had maybe a handful of players that were serviceable or better that stayed healthy and played for us for an extended period of time.

Now we're hoping out 1st round pick guards can replace our recent 1st round pick guards. It's time we take a long hard look at our scouting methods and personnel because clearly we have room to improve.

We should hire you…

We do not place any value whatsoever in the second round and that is that. I don't like it but I accept the reality of it. I didn't like walking a country mile out to employee parking in the pouring rain today when I left work, but I did it and I didn't dwell on it. It storms in the afternoon in the summer in Florida.

Its ownership doing this, not the front office. There is not a single front office person in the history of man who has wanted to make a trade for cash considerations. The money goes to our tight ownership.

I admit, I am underwhelmed with the pick. That will not stop me from supporting him and hoping my initial disappointment was not justified.

That is the fun of the draft, too. Looking at players and getting excited about the possibilities and coming up with your own version of an ideal fit.

Why not just make the pick and send the guy down to the g league the whole season. Or draft someone willing to take a two way contract right out the gate so it doesn't count as a roster spot. It just doesn't make sense to keep doing this.

I believe this is exactly what the rotation will be next season (insert Bol or Okeke if Isaac's too hurt).

And I just don't see how this group finishes anywhere but the bottom third in ORTG. Just not anywhere close to enough shooting.
