According to Tankathon there wasn't a single PG remaining once Nick Smith was drafted at 27.

Way to go, Connelly!

OK I started it.

My main reason I don't like this pick are:

1. Not a position of need, gets buried.

2. Not fluid and clumsy, injury concerns. Defensive problems show due to this.

3. Really raw... awful shooter. Needs to redo everything there.

4. Turnover prone

What I like

1. Really good ball handling skills for his size.

2. I think he tries hard.

I've seen Pickett and Bailey listed as PG/SG, though I wasn't all that high on either. The guy I really wanted to fall a bit was Sasser.

We don’t need a second round rookie as a developing back up PG.

It’s probably better to address our back up PG with a youngish vet. I like the WAS guys in trade, or look in free agency.

Broad answer type question...but what is the level of pro ball like in Europe? D1 college ball in US?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

The free agent market for PGs in the Wolves price range is pretty bleak, especially if you want someone in their 20s.

Bates or Gortman at 53 would be fantastic

Will Miller and Minott be fighting for the same roster spot?

Depends if you think they have starter upside. Not excited about the WAS guys. But I think the guys that had starter potential at PG are all off the board.

I don't think so. Honestly I think Miller projects more as a four whereas Minot is definitely more of a three. Either of which can be a combo forward, but I do think they'll actually compliment each other at different positions instead of occupying the same.

I doubt Minott's roster spot is in any danger. McLaughlin and Knight, however, are likely on the bubble.

If we don't like what's there at 53 I hope we trade it for a future 2nd.
