Tyler Herro is a prime example of TRex arms, I believed he measured at 6’3” for wingspan. Probably why he fell in the draft. That hasn’t affected his ability to get buckets in the NBA at all whatsoever. As long as you are shifty and can create enough separation to get your shot off then you can score in the NBA. He’s already got the confidence and shot making ability so we know he can score.

Podz has some Goran Dragic in his game. He has the tools to carve out a role for himself and I don’t think wingspan will limit him offensively. Defensively I wouldn’t expect much but he can still be taught positioning and how to move his feet but anybody drafting him won’t be drafting him for defensive versatility anyway.

He’s not guaranteed to succeed in the league and none of these guys are but he is talented and worth taking a chance on even if for a backup role, that’s what you are really hoping for at the back end of 1st round and into the 2nd where he’s currently projected.

The game has changed quite a bit over the past 2 or 3 years though. Goran Dragic doesn't see the floor anymore.

The Celtics couldn't put Payton Pritchard or Sam Hauser on the floor in the playoffs. Guys who are a defensive liability, who are short, don't have a good wingspan, aren't very quick, aren't very athletic, aren't very strong physically, it's tough for them to see the floor in the playoffs.

33-year old Goran Dragic was the leading scorer through 3 rounds of the playoffs for the Miami Heat team that made it to the finals in 2020.

Ok? Dragic has been playing pro basketball since he was 17. Podz was a freshman, riding the bench in the Big 10, then put up some good numbers as a sophomore in a mid major conference.

Yes players get too old to play. Prime Dragic skillset is a fantastic player in the modern NBA

I like the Dragic comparison stylistically, but Pod just seems so slow and easy to stay in front of for the most part, and that’s against college comp.

Dragic had sneaky burst and change of direction, with a decent first step.

I don’t know if Pod’s first step is even functional at the NBA level.

Houston at 20 seems like a landing spot if they keep the pick

Feels like a natural Divencenzo replacement as a 2 who can play "point" on offense. I had him at 19 for a bit, should have left him there, lol
