What a letdown the draft was.

Smart and filler for 2nd round picks and porzingas who is currently an expiring and has not yet agreed to an extension.

Not great.....

Lob Williams and Porzingod is a crazy good frontcourt, is it not? Hope to get some games out of them.

Think we need another solid big just incase. Play Big Al only spot minutes up to the playoffs since he's approaching 40

Foolish to keep Al at this point.

He's kept for sentimental reasons nowadays..

It was necessary to get Smart out of here. Brown and Tatum are not going to grow otherwise.

If they cant grow because smart is here then they will jever grow.

Thats nonsense.

They have had all the opportunity a player could ask for and 1 of the 2 of them are always **** the bed.

We can’t do an extension with porzingis until July first. Jesus guys; this is readily available information. Why complain about impossible stuff ?

Furthermore if we do an extension right away it has to be for a minimum of 2/77 mil BUT if we wait 6 months we can extend for a lower number and longer duration, for example 3/80.

You can only extend them in the new league year, same with Brown which starts on July 1st.
Meanwhile all credible insiders like Stein have said an extension is highly likely. You don’t have to like the deal; your opinion is your own but can we put some effort forth ?

It isnt July 6th.

So he hasnt agreed to an extension yet.

Which is what I said.

Hast agreed to any sort of extension. This is 100% fact. And without an extension the trade looks really bad. Most talking heads agree.

We could be ledt with no capspace in 2024 offseason and no KP. Not worth the trade if that happens

I dont care about likely, if he does deal is better, if he doesnt its bad

Maybe.

But based on brads comments and recent actions....that pick will be traded (probs for 2nds) and he wont be making a 1st round pick for a while

Also a 2 year 39 million per year extension seem gross to pay porzingas

2024
Kp 39 million
Tatum 40 million
Brown 59 million

Gross.

Then you have to wait;if you extend him right away it has to be at least higher than his current salary in anual value which is 36 mil. You have to wait 6 months if you wanna offer less

Your irrational dislike for Jaylen aside, how can they grow if they aren't pushed to take the last shot of the game? More often than not the most important player at the end of the game was Marcus. Marcus Smart is a role player. Your captain should always be your leader, your best player. They were comfortable with Smart taking the final shot and Smart loved doing it which is a terrible combination. I'm just glad this core is finally broken up and the team can move on.

I wonder how important it is for the Cs to avoid the second tax apron? Do the restrictions begin this upcoming season? And how bad are they?

If Cs just let Grant walk and don't trade Brogdon & PP, this is what our salary situation looks like:

Image

Second tax apron is at $182.5M.

Thats false. Only time smart took them is when there was no choice. 1 option is always tatum, 2nd would be brown. Opposing teams can change that though.

Tatum has the highest usage in the clutch and regarding game winner attempted shots he takes the majority.

Thay narrative of smart taking final shots is just wrong

I had thought there would be more done last night. I was expecting a shock Jaylen trade or a big move up for a player they were targeting.

That’s not to say I’m upset, but now it seems like we will max Jaylen and do something with Grant. Where do we go with our guard position that is severely lacking after losing Smart and Brogdon (to injury)?

Who’s a FA out there for the TPMLE you’re coveting?
