Maybe FVV's market tanks like Schroder's did and we get him for the T-MLE.

They’d certainly break the record for most threes in a game.

If Cs just let Grant walk and don't trade Brogdon & PP, this is what our salary situation looks like:

Second tax apron is at $182.5M.

Why is there a # in here for Walsh already? Is that just an estimate/placeholder?

I could see Pritchard getting dealt just to shave $1 or 2M — I like him but he’s not better than your average vet min guy.

Can the TPMLE be split among two guys?

Even if it can be, in theory you are only paying 600k more than the vet minimum. Would there be a point to splitting it

T-MLE contracts can be multiyear so if you have someone willing to take minimum level for several years (e.g. Hauser) it would be useful for that.

Well if we use tpmle we’re hardcapped at the second apron and we can’t go past it. So yeah

Thats nonsense.

They have had all the opportunity a player could ask for and 1 of the 2 of them are always **** the bed.

Your irrational dislike for Jaylen aside, how can they grow if they aren't pushed to take the last shot of the game? More often than not the most important player at the end of the game was Marcus. Marcus Smart is a role player. Your captain should always be your leader, your best player. They were comfortable with Smart taking the final shot and Smart loved doing it which is a terrible combination. I'm just glad this core is finally broken up and the team can move on.

Thats false. Only time smart took them is when there was no choice. 1 option is always tatum, 2nd would be brown. Opposing teams can change that though.

Tatum has the highest usage in the clutch and regarding game winner attempted shots he takes the majority.

Thay narrative of smart taking final shots is just wrong

Nope. Its really not though. Look back at the games. Doesn't matter why he did it. The fact is more often than not Smart had the ball with the game on the line. The guy would also shoot 3s like he was Steph Curry. Really good role player but he will never be a star player. He is what he is and this organization spent years pumping his tires to the point that he felt he was on the same level as the other two.

I think that’s the max a second rounder can get if second round exception is used.

Warriors as the 3rd team in the KP trade? Glad they didn’t get Smart. Better in Memphis than GS. They probably didn’t have enough desirable assets.

Or Causeway Street. Brown, Brogdon and the picks that Stevens has been so careful to acquire over the last two days for Lillard.

Besides the fact that Haynes (dame’s mouthpiece ) has already ruled out Boston as a destination where Lillard would like to go; there’s a timing issue. Dame is reportedly waiting to ask out based on the free agency moves Portland makes. So once Jaylen signs his supermax extension we can’t trade him for a year. It’s not technically impossible if we just don’t offer it or wait but that comes with it’s own problems. It’s highly highly unlikely; better hope he goes to Brooklyn and not miami

Well, they can offer Brown his extension but that rules out any championship until they trade him. He's too unreliable in close games. He doesn't shoot that well and he's a turnover and/or defensive lapse waiting to happen against good teams that know how to exploit his weaknesses.

Brown for Bogdan and Okongwu is another move I'd make in a heartbeat.
