If TJD can contribute in any way close to how he looked in college, he's a steal. He may not be that tall, but he fits right in, filling in for/pairing with Looney and Draymond. Love this pick up.

Wow I like this pick. TJD has a higher chance of playing this season than PBJ. Do we sign him to a 2 way?

I think this guy can help but I also hope they go out and get a vet big. Is there any way possible to get either Brook Lopez or Naz Reid? They're both free agents. With these crazy CBA rules, is there any way for that to happen? I would assume the answer would be they'd have to take the vet minimum? Of course, that won't happen. Any other way? Anyone?

Agreed, but not sure. The new rules are designed to kneecap the Dubs.

I wish GS could have just bought the TJD puck but they save 12mil in luxury tax and get an older rookie with the right skills

One of the players comparisons us Dray Green

Yet another cost cutting move but it sounds like some people like this guy so that's good. Doubt he plays much, maybe not even as much as PBJ played last year.

Is he scheme versatile on defense? What's his offensive game outside of finishing in the paint? Is he just a roll/cut big or does he impact the offense in other ways?

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

The only way to get them is if they accept the vet minimum.

When it comes to bigs, look at names like:

Saric
Meyer Leonard
Dieng
Robin Lopez

And some of the other names mentioned in this thread.

Okay after reading about him a bit...this seems like a great pick. Love seeing that his ideal fit would be high post playmaking.

Jackson-Davis will flourish in a middle of the floor/top of the key playmaking role that utilizes his terrific court vision and decisive decision-making in the middle of the floor. A two-man game with an elite PG and TJD reading the defense in the center of the offense can exploit defenses and create countless open looks for a 3-shooter system around him

Even if he's just a longer Luke Sikma with more defensive versatility and rim protection...that's a pretty damn good role player in a system where role players who know how to play can shine.

Kuminga better put WORK in, cause TJD is coming for his spot. Kerr will not hesitate to play him. He fits our system and has a 4 year college player.

Hmm, maybe maybe not -- Kuminga is a 3/4 where TJD is a 4/5, I bet we see him as a 5 a decent amount. Rim protector, good finisher/post moves. Not great in space, might have to play drop coverages against some teams. I'd be surprised if we play him a ton at 4, but I've only watched like 15 minutes of clips/highlights of him.

LMAO.

One of the funniest lines in recent memory.

Ah, yeah.

He's also a good facilitator/passer. He can do a lot of what Looney and Draymond do in this system.

4 assists per game is not easy to get in college, especially for a big. That tells me that he has his eyes open and he's smart.

The Draymond comparisons are unfair, but... I can dream a little.

Everyone will overhype a dubs draft pick.. but he just seems to know how to play the game, is fairly athletic and seems coachable.. His shot also doesnt look broken from workouts. Unbelievable that he lasted until the end of R2

Really could be another Looney'esque coup. I think he slipped because he projects as an undersized center not really as a modern PF. Undersized C is kinda what we do.
