Maybe ... but why do that when they can extort us for even more? They know they have us by the balls.

2028 and 2030. If OKC unlocks protection in 2025 it opens up 2024,2026,2028, and 2030

Call OKC right now,

"Hey guys, listen, we really need that pick unlocked. We are willing to give you Duncan Robinson for the trouble, it really pains us to part with one of the league's most lethal, ignitable shooters, but that's how bad we want this done."

I think it would take a future swap to make them help us.

Something like that won't happen until the deadline. We still have dreams of flipping that contract for some Moby Dick.

We'd have 2025 to trade as well

2025 is top 14 protected that if does not convey unprotected in 2026. We want them to have 2025 outright.

Maybe to go over the tax this season (22-23) because of the poison pill provision, make sure to avoid the new 2nd apron next season and possibly get under the tax during next season? All while trying to get assets for a trade.

We're not trading him for no damn cap purposes. You would've traded him for Oladipo, how would that have worked out?

Well, I’m glad they treated the team who’s star we are trying to poach with respect. That way when we call to trade for Dame, they can hang up out of spite as well as because our offer sucked.
