Fred may be taller but Fred is also stumpy as hell (stride length etc). Nowell looks way faster

He will crack the roster. He can pass, he can shoot, he can drive.. just height.. We talking about height here.. height, height, just height, you mean height... not putting ball in the basket.. height.. height..

He is from NY...

Nowell looks to be a better passer per 36 at the same age.

Nash was in the NBA at age 23 though. So, take it for what it's worth. Who knows if it translates.

His passing ability is NBA ready, the issue will be if he's able to get his shot off enough to create passing lanes. Defense gonna clearly be an issue as well. Kid's got heart and drive, so I will be rooting for him, even if he ends up as a practice squad/G league guy.

After seeing his response hard not to root for the guy. He was a treat to watch during the tourney.

Idk I'll obv route for him as a person just to overcome the odds but he is legit tiny af out there.

Like you see him around NBA sized wings & he looks like a child. Not trying to diss the guy, again I would really love to see his story succeed but he's gonna have a helluva time trying to really contain anything outside of the guard position and forgot getting caught on a switch with a PF or C, that's bbq chicken nugget lol...but I do really like his bball IQ offensively.

people forget Fred isn't a true PG....more of a undersized SG that was forced into the PG spot because Lowry left

Fred was at his best when he had Lowry by his side running the ship

Is it possible he could have a growth spurt? If so he easily becomes our franchise star PG

How do you hide him on defense? Zone?

He’s 23 already so probably and most likely not lol
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

We want a “true PG”. We want unselfishness.

Let’s not let his size be a bias to what he could be.
