I hear he’s at La Fresa Francesa café (The French Strawberry) in Hialeah.

Some of y’all get so upset that Dame Pat and majority of the fan base wants Dame in Miami; if it’s a pipe dream tell Pat to do his fuxkin job and give it up

Y’all want Dame to go somewhere else so bad so you can say “I told you so” even though it’ll be another failure whale hunting for the FO some Stan for.

Get it done Pat!

They have no need or interest in Herro. We would need to find some third team for that to make any sense. What seems more realistic would be Lowry. That way they trade Dame to us but we get to the second apron of the tax and are screwed. At that point we are basically betting on finding more un drafted players to round out the team. Then the picks start to have value but I dont see any way a direct trade of Herro to Portland makes any sense at all. Thats not even factoring all the unprotected picks we would need to pony up.

Our pick situation is not as rosey as it seems. Even if OKC lifts protections I think at most it gives us 3 picks. If they take off 2025 and move to 2026 we have 2024, 2028, and 2030. OKC is also going to want an asset for this. As of today all we have is 2028 and 2030.

Would I make that trade?

No

but i am a miami heat fan.... there is a whole slew of not good enough players i would have not traded away over the last decade....

Personally i would rather dump draft capital then to trade Jovic and Martin.....hell i am even warming up to the new JJJ.

Bammy clearly knows what he’s talking about and should just replace Sleepy Pat on the spot

His age and contract are going to work against them when he asks out; we can send Herro elsewhere for some more ammunition if needed

I’m pretty damn smart and know the game like the back of my hand that’s for sure.

You’re upset dame is being discussed but why is he our main priority right now? If it’s a pipe dream why is Pat so dead set on it? Is he delusional and bad at his job or is he the guy that gets **** done, The Godfather?

It has to be one or the other

I doubt they would want herro, he would either have to be sent to another team or we keep him.

Lowry (expiring), JJJ, Jovic, Martin, 2 FRP’s

For Lillard

Maybe to go over the tax this season (22-23) because of the poison pill provision, make sure to avoid the new 2nd apron next season and possibly get under the tax during next season? All while trying to get assets for a trade.

We're not trading him for no damn cap purposes. You would've traded him for Oladipo, how would that have worked out?

I just said what the possibility of Miami currently testing the market for Herro would be since his contract goes up 20+ million July 1st with a team that may be in the 2nd tax apron. You should really go read up at what happens when you go into the 2nd apron, it's not good.

This was just an answer only to why Miami was testing the market out but since you asked how trading Herro would have worked...

21-22 - Herro was a 6th man, Miami was first in the East, they went to game 7 of the ECF while Herro poured in 12.6 points per game.
22-23 - Herro was a starter, Miami came in 7th in the East, almost lost 2 play-in games, he got hurt and Miami got to the finals.

Out of 41 career playoff games, Herro has had 6 20+ point games for Miami and is slated to make nearly ~30 mil a year. He's averaging 14.0 ppg in the playoffs which includes the great 37 point game he had against the Boston to help Miami beat Boston by 3.

Vincent, who got to shoot the ball with Herro out had 5 20+ point games this last playoffs and played better defense then Herro and will command a much smaller contract then Herro because of his age.

I think Miami would have been just fine which might also be another reason they're testing out the market for what they might be able to get for him.

Pat is dead set on Lillard? Maybe

We still can’t beat the Nets asset pool by any means

It’s either a. Dame goes full diva and specifically requests a trade to the Heat or b. We don’t get him

Which do you think it will be?

I personally don't want Dame if it means gutting our roster of its depth (herro, caleb), keeping both Duncan and Lowry on this roster and being even further into the tax so we can't make any moves (like keep Gabe or get grant Williams / dillon brooks / chrisitian wood) with MLE because we'd take in 46M and send out 38-39ish. And it would ofc strip us of all our youth (jaime and jovic) and future tradeable frps.

I want Dame but let's be reasonable and find a more sensible middle ground.

I still think the nets personally outbid us
