It could have been any second rounder and I would have been meh at least it wasn't another guard. I'm more concerned about that bench now that Brogdon is hurt and apparently can't sign can't will legit can't will was 9th best on our roster and he is 7th now. Pritchard wants out but we kind of need him while Brogdon is down. ( Hauser, champagnei, kornet are all garbage so ) and even with poor stats I'd put walsh ahead of all them. So are bench looks like injured Brogdon, no money to resign can't will, I want to be traded Pritchard, then JD, walsh, Hauser, champagnei, kornet. Are you ok with that bench?

So much negativity!
I don't consider it negative I consider it reality we better not be done tweaking the roster the bench is in poor shape for reliability. Walsh and JD are worth trying to see more but I think Hauser doesn't have much more upside. And kornet is garbage but he is cheap garbage so ok and champagnei doesn't seem legit to me. Brogdon health issues and can't will we can't sign so yeah I'm nervous about the bench.and then add in Pritchard who's asked for trade pesky but tiny. Griffin good version of haslem but playing days are gone.

maybe you could assume that the Celtics aren't done tweaking the roster since the draft was last night and free agency starts a week from tomorrow? Then there's Summer League, and a whole summer, and training camp -- by that point you can dust off these concerns again if they're still relevant!

Back to Walsh: love the pick. Hope he gets into Jayson and Jaylen's one-on-one games. He can replace Pritchard there  He'll learn a lot of offense quick, and hopefully give them some reminders of what cranked-up defense looks like!

Huh? I have no idea what Brad said about his defense. I don't need Brad to hold a press conference to know what kind of defender Jordan Walsh is. Anyone with basketball IQ can see that Walsh is a very good defender.

No, it's called joking around and busting someone's chops.

Boom roasted is a reference to The Office. Not a show for 12 year olds.

Thanks for your contribution to the discussion about Celtics draft pick, Jordan Walsh :)

We were discussing earlier how Walsh kind of looks like Jarred Vanderbilt, with the way he gets after it on D.

This video was posted 2 days ago. At the 3:15 mark, the analyst makes the same comparison..

Tony Allen mark 2 would be nice. His stroke looks ok and should be fine if he works on it.

Iggy could score in his early years and can initiate the offense. I wouldn't go that far with Walsh. I was also half-joking with Artest but one can dream.

Yup - Walsh probably would have made a similar sophomore leap (like Iggy did) if he returned to college for another year.

He might have made a sophomore leap, tho different players progress differently. But Iggy, per 40, was a much better rebounder, posted a positive A/TO ratio, and also came up with a lot more steals and blocks while committing fewer fouls.

Statistically, he does not come across as a high motor, great defender type, does not really resemble the guys I've seen him compared to, his rebounding sticks out the most.

But by the numbers he is fairly comparable to freshman Khris Middleton, resembles a passable 3&D prospect with upside to become more. Corey Brewer is another guy that comes to mind for me, was a similar rebounder and a slight bit foul prone, and scouting capsules read similarly. I think Brewer's game was slightly more polished tho Walsh has better upside based on his physique; Brewer was real skinny.

Way leaner than Artest imo. More explosive as well. Not perfect but maybe more Shawn Marion.
