This team won’t win a thing this year. This is the time for him to move on. If it won’t happen soon it won’t happen at all.
It doesn’t seems like he really wants to win he should have asked for a trade by now.
I think we need to move on. His agent wouldn’t release a statement like this if Dame wanted out.

yeah, either that.... or the small chance he does want to come, but is just too worried about looking bad. so might drag this out.

If he drag this out then he will look bad. You are 32 and you know the cap situation. If you want to win you better ask now.
I hope he realised that for his sake

C'mon man... Can we just get some definitive clarity about this man. Either ask out or say you are definitely staying. This stuff getting so played out.

The blame lies with Pat. This is the 2014 Lebron situation all over again. He just doesn't know how to take a hint. Dame isn't stringing us along. Pat is ignoring all the signs and hoping that if he keeps coming around she's eventually going to change her mind.

I mean it could be possible that the deal is already in progress. Dame might think he's already on his way and was celebrating with his friends but Portland and Miami are still negotiating what the deal will be. Blazers might have saw that vid and told Dame's agent that if they want this process to go smoothly to put out a retraction. Otherwise I feel like Dame would have used Haynes to release that rather than it coming from his agent.

I disagree

I think that the fact that the agent had to respond shows that their some truth to it; people often times don’t feel the need to respond to things unless they know it’s true and want to hide it

we get stringed along with every single big free agent. Frankly I don't care if he comes here or not. We doing things with what we got and we are good at that. We make him he doesnt make us.

They can help Dame by going after
Juan Toscano-Anderson
Nathan Knight
Thomas Bryant
Georges Niang
Stephen Adams

If we get Dame this needs to eb done early so we can fill in the roster properly.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I have no doubt that dame will (eventually) ask out, the issue is that he will most likely list Miami and Brooklyn as destinations and Brooklyn has more picks than us; and I’m not so sure why Brooklyn even wants to trade all their picks for him, mikal and lillard isn’t a contender and not so sure that they are better than the blazers with grant but whatever

We need to hope that dame wants us alone or that the blazers think highly of herro or there’s another team able to give up draft picks for herro to send to blazers

Something’s gotta give, either dame needs to ask out in the next few days or Portlands gotta start gutting the team to unsuccessfully build a contender. Both sides need it done sooner rather than later to put themselves in the best position

Idk but I’ll give Riley a pass if he lands us Dame without giving Bam or Jimmy. It would be the first significant thing he’s done here in a very long time. Back of my mind says he got some inside info that Dame has signaled he wants to come here. Likely Wade again, doing Riley’s dirty business behind the scenes. It’s the only reason imo Pat backed out of the Beal deal. Wade has told him to wait for Dame, and like usual, Pat will get the credit for Wades work. So………on second thought, I don’t think I will be giving him a pass. Riley is a conniving person. Not far from a “cheater” if you will. Remember when we got Shaq, he sent Stan Van Gundy packing faster than we could blink, he’s cut throat, he wanted the glory to himself. If we get Dame, it’s because things are happening behind the scenes, Wades pulling strings, and Riley is listening to his golden goose, like he should. Dames agent is just doming damage control so there are no tampering issues.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Portland cannot build a contender, it’s not happing so this 33yo needs to get over the darling narrative and force his way to Miami as the missing piece

Jimmy saying “Dame time!” In his workout video. Dame saying “Miami, obviously” in his interview. The “welcome to Miami” Dame vid.

Gotta be smoke. Lots of it.

I wonder if Utah will take on bad salary with an asset attached or will make signings to where they need to cut some cap space somewhere.

If so, KO is a prime buyout candidate this summer with his $14M contract and only $3M guaranteed. An instant $11M in savings. That would be huge for us, he’s in the middle of his peak right now it seems

Brooklyn has 11 first rd picks, 5 expiring contracts, about 30 mil worth of space if they don’t pick up Royce O’Neale non guaranteed, big market of New York, and an owner in Tsai who is willing to spend heavy tax to win. He wanted Durant and Irving to work until it didn’t but now may be circling back to Dame who wants to play with Bridges.

Factors Miami has a solid chance:
-Dame mentioned Miami first
-easiest path to finals with the Heat
-No income state tax
-proven coach and org
-Selfless all-star and superstar teammates (He'll have the keys here right away)

Brooklyn factors:
-dawg Bridges is with the team
-Has a billionaire owner that is willing to spend vs ours
-Ton of cap space but it would take time to build a solid roster
-unproved coach and an org that has a bad history of player management

If Dame does think otherwise then surely Brooklyn is where he will head, but they would not pass Boston, Milwaukee, Sixers, Knicks, and the Heat on their current mold.

Return to Miami Heat
