So! Summer league is here. The schedule has been announced and we get to play Wemby.

So far we have

Osun Osunniyi 24 year old 6-10 center from Iowa, his first 4 years were good at st Bonaventure but his numbers tanked when he transfered to Iowa as a super Sr. He'll be 25 in October.

Johnny Davis is probably gonna play.

Bilal and Vuk should both be on the team.

I'm assuming Rollins and PBJ will play as well.

Quinton Jackson maybe? He's gonna be 25 but he was a rookie last year.

Maybe we see Yannik Noza.

So far
PG: Rollins
SG: Johnny
SF: Bilal / jackson
PF: PBJ
C. : Vuk / Osun / Noza if he shows up.

Should be a fun Summer League for the Wizards! Would expect team to include Bilal, Vukcevic, PBJ, Rollins, Johnny Davis...

On Friday, the Washington Wizards announced their 2023 NBA Summer League schedule. Like past years, they will participate in the Las Vegas Summer League, which is as much of a networking event among NBA and media personnel as it is a showcase of the league’s young talent.

The Wizards will play at least five games in Summer League, starting on July 8. Here is the entire schedule of guaranteed games:

Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET vs. Indiana Pacers (ESPN2)
Sunday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET vs. Boston Celtics (NBA TV)
Tuesday, July 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET vs. San Antonio Spurs (NBA TV)
Friday, July 14 at 5 p.m. ET vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (ESPNU)

Osun Osunniyi, a former St. Bonaventure University men’s basketball star, will play for the Washington Wizards in the 2023 Summer League.

Osunniyi, a 6-foot, 10, center, was a four-year starter for the Bonnies from the 2018-19 season to 2021-22 and a key to the team’s success during that period. His 205 blocks are the most in St. Bonaventure history.

During the 2022-23 year, Osunniyi played for Iowa State, leading the team in dunks with 32. He finished the year second on the team in field goal percentage at 57.7%.

Why on earth do we have cooks and an old teammate of his on the on the summer league team? We haven't gotten any good young undrafted talent this yet as of yet no word on Yannick Noza?

Noob question. Are Summer League games live-streamed? If so, how does one watch? I'm super eager to watch Bilal play, but also sorta lazy, and cheap, but otherwise cool, I think.

Some times they are on the local network but I think they are on NBA TV unless the rights Swapped and they might be on ESPN plus I don't know.

Apparently this year, every game will be on TV. ESPN, ESPN 2, NBA TV.

Everyone wants to see VW. Summer league games on TV and ticket prices to games in Vegas will probably go up.

Yeah I think if you have ESPN plus you can see them too! Maybe. We play the spurs.

There is no news at all about Kennedy Chandler. I felt like he was one of the best PG prospects in the draft a year ago he slipped to the second round they got cut by Memphis. I'd love to take a flyer on him .

I think he'd be a good pickup if we can find a way to buy out Shamet.

Chandler was very solid in college, got basically no chance in Memphis behind Ja and Tyus, and is now available.

G-League shooting stats are concerning though. He shot 20% from three and 54% from FT. Still would be willing to take a flyer on him. Only 20 years old.
