HIGHLY curious/anxious who is going to be the shooting coach now.

I wanted us to hire JJ Redick to fill that role but it doesn't seem like that's gonna happen. We hired a bunch of other assistants instead, and it seems like Redick is content doing his TV/podcasting stuff instead.

The other guy I was thinking of for shooting coach was Derek Fisher, who had a ton of seasons in the league at 38% or better from 3. Has coached a bit. And is available right now - he was doing some coaching working with the prospects at the draft combine a few weeks ago (Stotts was the main guy running it and Fisher was helping him).

But Fisher might be too much of a high profile guy to take a behind the bench job, which I think is all we have left open now..

I can just imagine JJ and Joe going at each other, each smuggly and condescendingly trying to prove he knows more.

I got a feeling we will have Reginald Kissoonlal 7'0 FC and Marial Shayok 6.5 G, both from Maine Celtics G-league team. It would not surprise me if they were included anyway.

We gotta grab Jack Nunge. Best undrafted big man available, imo.

Or, we could invite 1 of these bigs to play on our SL team. Some of the best big men in Europe:

Georgios Papagiannis
Tyrique Jones
Mathias Lessort

We should have brought Luka Šamanić over. He ended up signing a multi-year with Utah, after a 10-Day.

ESPN and NBA TV to bring fans all 76 games from NBA 2K24 Summer League 2023

https://pr.nba.com/2023-nba-summer-league-schedule/
All 76 games of the 11-day competition will air live on television on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNews) or NBA TV. Every game will also be available to stream on the ESPN App or NBA App.

In the 18th NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, all 30 NBA teams will play at least five games each. Each team will play four games from July 7-14. After each team plays four games, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs and participate in the semifinals on Sunday, July 16 (4 p.m. ET on ESPN and 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2). The two winning teams from the semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Monday, July 17 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The four playoff teams will be determined by winning percentage in each team’s first four games, with tiebreak criteria available here. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either Saturday, July 15 or Sunday, July 16.

On the first day of NBA 2K24 Summer League 2023 (Friday, July 7), ESPN will televise potential matchups between both the No. 1 and No. 2 picks and the No. 3 and No. 4 picks in NBA Draft 2023 presented by State Farm. No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama is set to lead the San Antonio Spurs against No. 2 pick Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets at 9 p.m. ET. Earlier in the day, No. 3 pick Scoot Henderson and the defending NBA Summer League champion Portland Trail Blazers are scheduled to face No. 4 pick Amen Thompson and the Houston Rockets at 7 p.m. ET.

A head-to-head matchup between Thompson and his twin brother, No. 5 pick Ausar Thompson of the Detroit Pistons, is set for Sunday, July 9 at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Later that day, San Antonio plays Portland at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The summer league team is loaded. We have a Ja Morant clone that just hoops and doesn’t care about guns, an Iggy clone and the Hungarian KD.

Copied from Draft Thread (2023)

Probably doesn't make sense to sign many/any Two-Ways, right off the bat.
We can add a number of players to our Summer League team. I don't think that there's a max roster limit.

Then after that, we can have up to 6 x Exhibit 10's at any one time. I think that the Two-Way Battles come after that.
Remember, that this year we can Roster up to 3 x Two-Ways. And the Offseason (Full) Roster Limit is 20-Players.

Can't wait for all the overreactions calling Walsh a bust because he'll have to handle the ball way too much on that summer league roster and that won't end well.

Can you call a 38th pick a bust? anyways I mean nothing personal but I expect nothing from any second rounder. Especially one that has reduced stats from junior year then went to link to senior high school then again in college. to me I always felt 5 star recruits better there stats not lowered them with better competition. His defense is sound but offense has a long way to go and has gotten worse against better competition. So anything he bring will remove a bust label. I'm rooting for him to be something because the bench need improvement big time

Send JT and JB to the Summer League. Maybe the Cs can win a title there.
