Re: OT: TV and Movies
I enjoy “The Bear” so much I committed to watching one episode a day, while drinking some whiskey, after my kids were in bed. To prolong and savor it. Also I watched four episodes yesterday.

We watched 1 episode last night as a family and my youngest immediately wanted to watch another. I'm glad my wife has self control cause I was all in on staying up all night.
I love that show.

And again, Hulu not spacing it out week to week is criminal and every exec should be fired.
We're talking about The Bear? The best season of TV ever? Dang bro
It's definitely my favorite. It's obviously early, but IMDB ratings for the ten episodes:
8.3
8.4
8.6
9.3
8.6
9.9
9.7
9.4
9.4
9.8
It's second half is a run I haven't seen since Breaking Bad finished. Just one amazing banger after banger.
Nice. I've been thinking about starting it from the beginning and have been looking for something to watch. Thanks

I thought S1 of Bear was decent, not great so I decided to rewatch it before starting S2. Enjoy it a lot more now for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah, I caught that right away. I think we have always been supposed to think of Carmy as one of the best in the world at what he does. That’s what is so meaningful about him struggling with family, relationships, peers, etc. You can be a genius in one area, but struggle in others even if they intersect. That’s the character (IMO).

Havent watched the finale yet, but Richy's ep (7) is my favorite thus far. That was awesome, I think I had a smile on my face for the entire back half of the ep.

That was my favorite of the season. I thought they made the perfect episode, and followed it up with something better.

Right, isn't that more or less Sydney's stated reason for showing up?

I think RS just caught the denmark details in the Christmas episode. It filled in what had just been implied.
I just saw that (7 fishes) episode for the first time. No spoilers, but I think it does a phenomenal job of explaining why Carmen is so compelled to cook and present perfect food, and yet is terribly conflicted and without joy as he does so.
Wow, the acting in that episode is incredible.

The 7 Fishes episode was compelling drama and incredible acting. And filled in so many gaps and answered so many questions. But it was so, so dark. “Forks” (Richie’s episode) was so uplifting. So beautiful to see someone grasp their self worth (even fictional characters).

This has to be a Gemstones reference.
Decided for me that has to be a binge watch when I'm in a particular mood. Gonna wait until the season's done and binge. That's how I enjoyed the last two.

First 3 are pretty good. Danny McBride, Walton Goggins, Adam Devine, John Goodman, Steve Zahn, great cast.

Gemstones has been on point but not nearly as many "laugh so hard I cried" moments so far this season for me compared to seasons past. Anybody watch/watching Class of '09? We're decently far (I wanna say 5-6 episodes) and it's a pretty good espionage thriller so far. Brian Tyree Henry is good in pretty much everything he does.
