Paul George trade value
Per wiretap
Clippers Gauging Trade Value Of Paul George With Blazers, Rockets Possible Destinations.
Is this standard off season activity or are the Clippers really serious about improving the teams now that there have been 4 season of the same results from this duo ?

Re: Paul George trade value
Stein and Bleacher Report are pretty legit sources. That, and the fact we usually keep things close to the vest unless we're committed, makes me think this is for real.
I also think we might have another team in mind. I've been saying this all year, but ... Orlando has our roster in reverse. Too many frontcourt guys and PGs, Too much youth and no starters to provide vet leadership. To me, it's an opportunity waiting to happen. On the trade bord, in response to another suggestion, I put out these ideas:
PG13, Terance Mann, and #30 for
#6, Jalen Suggs, Gary Harris, Jonathan Isaac, highest 2nd round picks in 2025 and 2026
Or
PG13, Terance Mann for
#11, Jalen Suggs, Gary Harris, Jonathan Isaac, #36, 2025 1st round pick from Denver, highest 2nd round pick in 2026
These are risky trades, but I think they're fair. We'd be "rebuilding" with a much more substantial young core and, essentailly, most or all of our draft picks back.

Zion's injuries and conditioning scare me too much. He's starting to remind me of Stanley Roberts.

Taking a flyer on Isaac is a big risk.. but could be really beneficial and is a new-age PF who is still devleoping as a player.. before he went down in the 2020 bubble, he was looking awesome. Considering his injury history, though.

A rebuilding team doesn't want Paul George. Or anybody we have except Zubac and Mann, and you're better off with Bridges. And I don't know if a 6'6", 220 lb. PF helps us all that much either.
But thanks for asking.

Re: Paul George trade value
You're probably right. I only suggested it because our #2 pick idol was PG. I was thinking we have him mentor Brandon Miller and be the leader of the team.esqtvd wrote:JustBuzzin wrote:Hornets fan here.

Re: Paul George trade value
I thought the Portland trade (#3 pick and Simons) sounded good if Portland wanted to appease Lillard.
Can't think of much else though.
Maybe Atlanta? Collins and Murray or Bogdanovich works.
I was going to say KAT from Minny but OMG his contract is terrible after next season. 50+ mil a year for three years (50/54/58). Yikes!

Yeah Atlanta is tempting with Collins/Murray.
As for Minnesota. Yikes.

Its a good trade but it still wouldn't put them over the top in the West

It's not a trade it's a salary dump
I wonder what it'll take to dump Mook

I’m afraid he’s here to stay.
I’m guessing they decline Gordon’s team option too.

our FO would probably pick-up Gordons option and offer extensions to Mook and Gordon.
