I think Pritchard will be moved. Maybe he could "break out" but I think we've seen enough to know there isn't much of a ceiling there. Even if he does break out, we won't be in position to re-sign him next year. His contract is too small and ceiling too limited to ever have real trade value. For a team with a big payroll bill, it doesn't make sense to pay him $4M when vet min guys could bring the level of production he's shown. Some contending team that vets won't want to sign with makes more sense to give Pritchard a shot.
Trade Pritchard, sign Jevon Carter to a min deal. Good 3&D type PG for regular season minutes. Familiar with new assistant Lee from MIL. Not that Pritchard has ever gone "rogue" in his minutes trying to do too much but Carter seems someone who's just more content with his role going forward.
I like the idea of signing JD for depth. Not that it should be THE factor, but he will be cheaper than another vet min deal.
Ending PG depth chart is White / Brogdon / Carter / Davison. Brown is mostly back to SG with Porzingis added now, but still some minutes to fill there that this group would account for as well.

Re: What do you think that the Celtics PG Depth will be, in 2023-24?
Good discussion topic. I tend to always split up offensive/defensive roles. Offensively I think it's White (30) / Brogdon (18) at PG. The question is, defensively, are they looking to get an 18 MPG guy or let Brogdon check PGs for those minutes? This is why I'm entertaining Javonte Green's return. I'd see Green defending whomever you needed 1-3 and cutter/spot up offense.
I like Pritchard's toughness/grittiness but him out there WITH Brogdon defensively I feel is a problem and one reason I think they should deal him (PP). If they went the Devonte Green route, you'd still need a break glass if you need dribbler option brought in.

In the playoffs, Derrick White and Tatum are my point men though I would like the team to at least explore utilizing Rob as an initiator in the halfcourt setting. White has primary responsibility in checking opposing PGs. Agree with darrendaye, Cs need another guard defender who comes off the bench and can be paired with Brogdon. Either via trade or FA. PP isn't it. Not familiar with Walsh enough to know if he's ready/capable.

It's sitting right there. I hate that his coaches haven't trusted him enough to do that. Also forces our stars to move more off the ball.

I think that Brogdon has Always been the Target to move. But, his injury prevented that.
Unfortunate that Smart had to go, to bring in Porzingis. Yet, I still don't think Smart should have been Starting for the Celtics.
That said, I believe that we still need to rid ourselves of Brogdon.
I'd either Start White, or bring in a better Starter at PG, and bring White off the Bench, as a 1 & 2 (Combo Guard).
Starter (TBD)
White
Pritchard
Davison
