TLDR version:

I’m willing to bet on the combo of; legitimate positional size + elite athleticism + high motor + high bball IQ.

Best comp I've seen so far. And I'd obviously and gladly take a number of the following versions:

"Scottie Pippen" - Hall of Famer - obvious home run
"a poor man's Scottie Pippen" - potential starter - excellent pick
"a broke man's Scottie Pippen" - part of a playoff rotation - great pick
"a homeless man's Scottie Pippen" - borderline rotation piece - solid pick

Pretty much what it comes down to. I don't know exactly how it's going to work, but I'm confident they'll figure it out. He's just a force multiplier.

Not that it's saying a lot but this is our best draft pick since Giannis (yes, better than Brogdon) and by December you'll all agree with me.

I’m still in the Beauchamp camp personally. Hopefully at least one of those two end up being a significant contributor.

Or better yet, both do.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

From what highlights I've seen (not a ton), he has great feel for the pick-and-roll, is a really solid passer, tenacious on defense and in transition. His shot is a bit wonky but not the worst I've ever seen.

If both he and Beauchamp become positive rotational players and contribute that would be a godsend for this squad.

What if… David Harrison comes back and demolishes him, forcing the Spurs to make a panic trade for Miles Turner or something ?

Why? It’s going to be a media circus for the league. Huge

Because top tier talent usually skips out on summer league.

I only checked the last 5 years but every single #1 pick in the draft played in summer league that year with the exception of 2020 when Summer League was canceled due to COVID. Zion only played one game because he was hurt. But the rest played atleast 2 or more

Duke was forced to vacate all wins, draft choices and the one surviving master reel of "I Hate Christian Laettner" was replaced with two hours of Phil Swift ad reads.

This year we get two #1s.

Case clothed.
