I’m not sure who this guy is and it wouldn’t surprise me if we traded Brogdon but would be pretty concerned with our guard rotation.

Also would put a lot of eggs in the Derrick white basket. They’re not just high on him, they’re mainlining him.

Obviously if we moved Brogdon, we would acquire another guard - either in that same trade or in a different move.

With that being said, the nuggets just won the title with only 1 guard in their rotation (Murray). KCP, Brown and Braun are wings. That's 1 guard and 3 wings. We could have 1 guard (white) and 3 wings (tatum, Brown, Hauser). Plus we'd have another guard we could put in there if necessary (Pritchard) who was the 8th man when we went to the NBA finals.

Every winning team is constructed differently. You can't just follow Denver's blueprint position by position and assume we're gonna have the same result. Murray is their only pure PG, but Brown played minutes as a guard. And of course they got the greatest point-center in history.

You have to look at it in the view of having 8 playoff-worthy, heck even Finals-worthy rotation guys. Denver had Jokic, Murray, Gordon, MPJ, KCP, Brown, Green, and Braun. At the moment, we got Tatum, JB, KP, White, Brogdon, Horford, and Rob. That's 7. Maybe PP or Hauser is gonna be that 8th guy. Maybe a TPE guy will. But if you're moving Brogdon, you better make sure whoever's replacing him is gonna be good enough to be part of the 8.

Where did I say that we should follow Denver's blueprint? Where did I say that Denver's blueprint is the ONLY way to build a team? Nowhere.

Perhaps you missed the part where I said, "Obviously if we moved Brogdon, we would acquire another guard - either in that same trade or in a different move."

I'm simply saying that if we move Brogdon but replace him with a wing (like for example Norman Powell, Josh Richardson, Torrey Craig or Dorian Finney-Smith) it's not the end of the world. Denver won a title with only 1 guard in the rotation and we could do. It's not the only way to win a title, but is a A way.

That's all I'm saying :)
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

A talent downgrade in the back court for a much more reliable guy and more depth.

You’d have to send out Pritchard to keep us under the apron, you lose the tax MLE but I’m not sure you’d even make it under the apron after

It would add $2M. They could move PP in the same deal and replace him with Yam and it would be a total cost savings. It's not some splurge.

No I know it’s not a splurge, it’s just close. How many guys would we have on the roster with Brogdon/PP out and Olynyk/Clarkson in?

Do we think Jaylen will ever make another all-NBA team? So fcking frustrating, especially since they revised the CBA so we would’ve been able to give him a full max extension next week.

He’s not a top 10 player, there’s a case he’s not top 15.

What the Chris Roberts tweet? Maybe not, but it's not like he is reporting anything outlandish.

-Brian Robb just reported yesterday that the C's could be looking to move Brogdon
-There's been multiple other outlets in the past couple of days reporting that the C's have been active in trade talks
-Right after the draft there were multiple outlets reporting that the C's were active in trade talks
-The C's had a deal in place to move Brogdon to the clippers, which fell through. Only reason it fell through is because the clippers couldn't get a physical done in time for Porzingis' opt in deadline. Since that time, reports have said that Brogdon's injury isn't *that* serious and he should be ready for the start of the season - so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if he is moved

He might not have many followers but the thing he's reporting sounds perfectly logical.

Trade idea:

Celtics get KPJ
Rockets get two 2nd rounders or the Warriors pick from Cs and Morris
Clippers get Brogdan

I'd rather have Brogdon over KPJ..

Not a fan of KPJ. Seems like a guy who plays playground style ball. Too much dribbling, ill advised shots, poor decision making/basketball IQ. No defense..he'll have some highlight reel plays but won't contribute much to winning..had some maturity/attitude issues earlier in his career, too.

Woj on ESPN saying Harden may get traded. Now I'm seeing rumors on the bird app of Harden to Clippers or Suns.

Lol what a time.

snowman wrote:I personally hope our roster going into the season will look like this. It won't, but I think it covers all the bases.

White, Pritchard, JD Davison
Brown, Brogdon, (Javonte Green on minimum deal)
Tatum, (Josh Richardson or Cedi Usman which ever one if we can swing Grant S&T), Hauser
RW3, Horford, (Kabengele on minimum deal)
Porzingis, Kornet, (Azubuike or on minimum deal)
2-ways:
Walsh (SF), Valerio-Bodon (SF/PF), Balcerowski (C)

Man, you should really just give up on the Kabengele dream :) Not getting onto the summer league team was the nail in his coffin.

Look at last year's summer league team. We had Brodric Thomas, Justin Jackson and Matt Ryan on there. Meaning, all 3 of those guys were being given a shot at earning a training camp invite. Thomas and Jackson got a TC invite. We parted ways with Ryan after SL. Kabengele didn't even get a SL invite, though..

Your right of course. I haven't heard his name even brought up the first time. I just think he could do something with guidance from Horford, RW3 and now Porzingis. I think he is better / more athletic than Kornet.

The radio guys have no sources or stories to pull, so they're grasping at straws trying to talk about Kyrie. He's never coming back, so don't buy into the radio rumors.
