What if the West ends up like this:

Clippers - Harden, George, Leonard
Suns - Booker, Durant, Beal
Lakers - DeRozan, James, Davis
Blazers - Lillard, Green, Lavine
Warriors - Paul, Curry, Thompson
Kings - Sabonis, Kuzma, Fox
Nuggets - Murray, Porter, Jokic
Rockets - Van Vleet, Brooks, Sengun
Mavs - Doncic, Irving, McGee

The Eastern Conference should just fold.

I don't like Kyrie at all but I would rather have him than DLo. So I'm in with this trade scenario.

Why would Dallas want Russell clogging their cap space in that scenario?

There’s a big guy I badly want but every player I’ve ever said I want on this message board in fa we always get outbid, so not gonna jinx it. I Will just say, pls come home, u can hang w ur boys from Harvard westlake. Hometown discount ftw, you already multiple generations rich brah
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Why would anyone pay Russell enough to clog anything? Golden State was able to pawn him off quickly to a team that historically has made horrible decisions.... yet we made a worse one getting him.

full MLE on Brook Lopez please, if not him I'm on board for Bruce Brown

I think D'Angelo at 17 million a year, Malik Beasley at 11 million a year, and vando is a good package for Kyrie, All the second years on those contracts can have a team option

we can get Seth Curry for 4.5, or Christian wood, or Donte, I would be thrilled

I get it. I think this is dreaming big to me. But I try to be realistic. Bruce Brown on the Lakers vs Denver would of completely turned that series around. Plus Dlo is tradeable on that contract. I am worried about the big man position would like some decent options behind AD. I’d personally look to move Vando and see what big we could get for him. Maybe him for Isaiah Stewart?

PG- D'Angelo Russell (2 year deal starting at 17 mil) - Jalen Hood Scfinino - Aaron Holiday (Min contract)

SG- Austin Reaves (12.4 Arenas Limited matched) - Max Christie - Ty Jerome (Min contract)

SF- Bruce Brown (4 year MLE 12.4 starting 53 Million total) - Jarred Vanderbilt - Maxwell Lewis

PF- Lebron James - Rui Hachimura (1 plus one starting out 15 mil player option) - Oshae Brissett (Min contract)

C- Anthony Davis - Christian Wood (4.5 mil BAE) - Tristan Thompson (Min contract)

Ok go ahead and bash away!!!

Well, I'm not gonna bash it......but 'dream scenario'?? This roster is super mediocre. You gotta dream big, man. This is more or less what we're prob gonna end up with, although paying more $$$. And when Lebron shows up that much older.....and AD takes his usual spot in the 2nd row of seats, we got a whole lotta .500 ball to look forward to.

I dunno....it's not awful (well it is when AD gets hurt, but I said I wouldn't bash it) but this can't seriously be the 'dream scenario' can it? I really hope the Lakers do better than this.

Seems like Rui+D'Lo+Reaves are likely to return and given that they've released Bamba and Beasley, it think they might have thes MLE and BAE.
Tristan Thompson on vet min is a no-brainer and i think guys like Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon could be interesting options as well at the minimum.

As for the MLE i think Brook Lopez would be the perfect addition. Elite defender/shooter and can take backup minutes at the 5 as well as push AD to the 4 at times. Against a team like the Nuggets, i think we need to be able to put AD on Joker and still have a guy that'll protect the rim.

BAE - Josh Richardson is the guy for me. Can play the 2/3.

D'LO / Rose (min) / JHS
Reaves / Richardson (BAE) / Christie
Lebron / Vando / Max Lewis
AD / Rui
Lopez (MLE) / (AD) / Tristan Thompson (min)

Other options would be Bruce Brown (MLE)

Very solid plan. My concern is the defense in the guard position. And I want a mentor for both JHS, Reaves and Christie. Rondo would be awesome in that role. I assume we need a 10 man rotation and the other 4 being back up for any injuries. JHS and Max Lewis will be 2 of the 4. TT and Rondo would be great for the other 2.

We are extending Dlo for 2 reasons. Dlo may already be the best realistic option for Lakers despite his horrendous defense. LAL could hide his defensive short comings in the regular season. His offensive game with AD, shot creation and 3 point ability fit the team so well. LAL has to resign him on financial standing point or they would not sign a quality player over the cap. The question would be, are you planning to trade Dlo in the mid-season ?

I think we need some more help in the frontcourt to prepare for the absence of AD and James. BroLo return would be dream come true.

Last season we had the best defense in the league with those guys and while Dennis might be gone i think a guy like JHS might be able to contribute early with his defensive ability.

Could use a veteran guard at the min. though. Rondo is out i think but but D-Rose could be an option. Or perhaps Cory Joseph (Klutch). Also use BAE on a solid rotation player – Okogie, Strus, Richardson, Seth Curry.

IMO Adding BroLo would be ideal because he’d take up 25mpg at the 5 which would balance the entire frontcourt:
SF Lebron (25) / Vando (23) / Lewis (??)
PF AD (10) / Rui (30) / Lebron (8)
C BroLo (25) / AD (23) / Tristan Thompson (??)

Sometimes the obvious approach is the right approach.

Assuming Lebron/AD are both fully motivated and committed, it makes perfect sense to go for one last run with bringing a refined version of the team back. This is also obviously assuming the deals for DLO and Rui will be reasonable, and that Reaves is kept for the Arenas-esque contract, with the Lakers having the Full MLE, which seems like the likely scenario.

It's a lot of assumptions, but to me it's a no brainer. You have to go for it one last time.

I’m starting to think Fino is going to another team and that we’re sending D Lo and Schroeder (S&T) there with him. I’d also take back Tyus Jones in a three team deal.

I can't think of any teams that really want D'Lo.... maybe the Nets where he thrived and became an all-star but that time, he was with another coach.
I like DFS(longer) and/or Royce O'Neal (more accurate 3pt shooter per career ave) in return. Also like Tyus Jones esp if you lose 2 PGs.
