I am all for player empowerment but it's funny seeing some of these stars now wanting to switch teams every 1-2 years.

As flawed as Philly and Embiid is, it's still a great chance to win a ring (unless he's out on Embiid's health).

He's older and an expiring contract. It doesn't even matter if he goes somewhere he "wants" because he's already demanded trades from 3 different teams. Who's going risk assets to acquire a guy like that?

On the court, I think yes.

But my first thought was: How much are teams going to trade for a guy with one year left who seems to like changing teams?

I think Philly will get one or two players who can help them on the court, but no significant future assets like good picks or anything.

EDIT: And he is not extension eligible and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2024. Clippers makes sense in that they'd have more reason than anywhere else to believe Harden might be more than a rental...

What about like for Reaves to the Lakers?

He should be out on his own mental capacity to handle playoff basketball. Go to Houston and rid yourself of any expectations at this point.

I started a Harden opt in and trade to the Clippers for PG thread in the Trades & Transactions forum this morning and not one person responded lol. I demand apologies!

Seriously, I could see it helping the Clippers and the Sixers. I don't think I like Harden's fit with the Knicks. Maybe Herro/Robinson/2FRPs from the Heat gets them Harden instead of Dame?

Where does James Harden end up?
