It would almost be unjust if he DID win one at this point.

Yup. And they need defensive role players.

Must be Clippers or someone with no cap space

He must have a specific team in mind with no cap space.

Clippers make sense, they have plenty of expiring contracts and some young talent - Hyland, Mann, anybody else?

Houston is OUT. They have cap space, he would have opted out to sign with them if that's what both sides wanted. He's looking at Clippers, Phoenix (lol) or another contender

Why not just opt out of PO and sign with whoever he wants? Opting into your PO only to demand a trade is shady

I love the trend of these **** opting into a contract and then demanding a trade. If you don't like it there, don't opt in.

Wish one team would have the balls to not cave into this.

Bad move. No one is giving up assets for a player who forced his way out of 3 teams over the past 3 years

Interesting if Clippers are interested in a trade. Likely they've lost faith of Kawhi & Paul staying healthy together and figure to give it a shot with James. If it fails they knock off an extra year of salary and can trade Kawhi next off season with a full rebuild.

IMO they have enough talented guards and would be better serve trading Paul for a big

Houston basically did this with Harden the first time, and his version of "quiet quitting" was to gain weight and spend all night at strip clubs

Someone 100% is going to. I don't think Sixers are just going to take picks and filler contracts either, they just hired Nurse and need to win before Embiid wants out too. I think this ends up being a star for star trade.

So where will Embiid end up when he requests to be traded in a couple months?

No team he wants to go to has cap space. Not shady at all, gotta make it happen via S&T.

Also guessing that the Sixers weren’t going to give him a contract he wants—like a 4-5 year max—so this is kinda the tantrum from that. Don’t think he has any issue with his on court situation that’s going to get any better with most good teams.

Why would anyone even trade for him?

He might ask for a trade a season later again.

He is clearly doing Morey a favor by getting pieces for him.

That would actually be a good deal for both sides. Nets need a PG and PHI needs perimeter defense

Seriously why would anyone want him? Between him and Kyrie, they leave a trail of destruction behind them everywhere they go.
