I’m not sure who this guy is and it wouldn’t surprise me if we traded Brogdon but would be pretty concerned with our guard rotation.

Also would put a lot of eggs in the Derrick white basket. They’re not just high on him, they’re mainlining him.

Obviously if we moved Brogdon, we would acquire another guard - either in that same trade or in a different move.

With that being said, the nuggets just won the title with only 1 guard in their rotation (Murray). KCP, Brown and Braun are wings. That's 1 guard and 3 wings. We could have 1 guard (white) and 3 wings (tatum, Brown, Hauser). Plus we'd have another guard we could put in there if necessary (Pritchard) who was the 8th man when we went to the NBA finals.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Really? How much is ownership willing to pay?

If they're all in, the only considerations are your flexibility and future draft picks..

This off-season has been anything but boring so far. Tomorrow should be interesting.

Eh, idk. Jokic is a great passer. But he's not a guard. Not quick enough to play guard, in terms of getting up and down the floor fast enough, or moving laterally to get out and defend the perimeter. Can't defend guards. He's just a big man who can shoot from 3 and also make good passes from perimeter or from the post - Al can do those those things, so can Porzingis. Rob is a very good passer from the perimeter and in the interior. Doesn't make them a guard, though.

Lots of teams have use their big man as a passing/playmaking hub (Celtics, sixers, nuggets, warriors, kings, rockets, etc.). You do have a point, though - teams with a big man who is used so much as a playmaker in the half court, don't need as much playmaking from their other guys. Which is probably one reason why the nuggets only went with 1 guard in their playoff rotation this season. And it also supports my initial point in all of this - that the Celtics could - I'm not saying it's the ideal scenario, but they could - go with just 1 guard (white) in their rotation, along with a bunch of wings (Tatum, Brown, Hauser...) and use Rob/Al/KP as playmakers.

It says "mystery team", which doesn't necessarily mean "NBA team"

I don't see why not. We're all thinking that KP and Rob will start together and we're ok with that.

Embiid is similar to Rob as a defender - really good shot blocker, good interior defender, can do a pretty good job here and there defending out on the perimeter on switches but ideally you're using him closer to the basket, as a roamer, as a help defender, to protect the rim.

Offensively, Embiid can be used like Rob, except of course Embiid is way better- can shoot (from mid range and from 3), can post up, can take his man off the dribble from pretty much anywhere.

I doubt we get Embiid, but I'm assuming that if we did, it would be Rob headed to Philly?

Heat and Blazers don’t have a use for him. Stay away from Boston. Clippers look like the obvious landing spot but not much assets to give back.
