It's questionable Mavs should up their offer if Kyrie threats to play on another team for a minimum. It looks like lose - lose situation for Dallas. They missed the playoffs while he was playing hard for contract and now shows he prefers being on another team.

Yeah I'm certainly no Kyrie guy but what's Dallas' alternative path if he walks? They kind of painted themselves into this corner. It's not like Luka is going to sit quietly through a rebuild.

So the Suns take the "interview" to put the Mavs in a position where they - pretty much overpay for Kyrie or see if Kyrie is willing to pay for the minimum.
