Wendell isn't starting or even playing at the 4. Not with Banchero here playing 30+ minutes per game.

It would be an interesting second unit with Lopez, Isaac, and Black.

Here's the situation. We have 14 players if we bring everyone back. This leaves Mo Wagner in the learch if we do decide to chase a free agent. Do we opt out of Bol Bol or Gary Harris deal and bring back Mo and in turn to keep Franz happy?

If Lopez signs with the Magic (which I doubt), there is no way WCJ starts. Lopez is a big upgrade. WCJ only starts if Lopez ages quickly. He had a great season last year.

We keep Moe Wagner because hes a super valuable player, not just to keep Franz happy.

Would like to keep Cole but with Franz and Paolo's extensions looming I'm not sure I want to tie up cap with him since we just got another pg.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Best player who’s never won more than a single game in a series? Big achievement. And like I said, he didn’t have a standout season until he was 28. Give Fultz 4 more years and let’s see if he can get a playoff win and some votes in a popularity contest. I mean, Gordon has already won his first championship at a younger age than when Vuc first made the playoffs, including a game-leading 27 point effort in the game 3 win in the finals. Plenty of people didn’t think he’d be capable of that.

I’m glad Vuc got paid by Chicago but if he wants to win he’s going to have to play a smaller role behind better players and work on the things which eat into his efficiency.

Opposite of being one of worst 1st ovrerall draft busts in history, who also never was best player anywhere as pro?

Fultz is 25, in 3 years he will be either out of nba, not starter any more OR bench player somwhere.

Gordon plays on team that has best player on planet Earth. As 4th best player.

I love how you still hang onto that Gordon stuff while guy averages 13 ppg in playoffs and calls himself role player. LIke, dude, he gave up on "star Gordon " thing, maybe it's time for you too?

Vuc is 33 and still starter and gets payed. Thing that most people Magic had ( and probably majority of players Magic have) won't be able to say once they hit his age. Championships are team achivments and evaluating players based on them is chidlish. Kevin Garnett almost went ringless in his career, Barkley went ringless, in same time some random jabroni Joel Anthony or Patrick MaCaw won 2 rings.

Hell, Tristan Thompson and Mario Chalmers were starters on championship teams.

Gordon joins new team and becomes a #3 option and wins a championship. Vuc joins a new team and becomes a #3 option and wins a lottery pick

In the 11 years Vuc has been a top 2 or 3 option his teams have only had a winning record TWICE. 2/11 years! And we can’t blame the support because Oladipo, Harris, Gordon have all moved on to winning teams since.

Nobody has called Gordon a star, it’s just you. I’ve called him an NBA Champion - because he is.

Championships are won by players who accept roles and do what needs to be done to win behind star players. Vuc isn’t good enough to be a star player and hasn’t become specialised enough to be a role player despite having all the tools - great rebounder, great passer, good shooter. Marc Gasol became a 3&D C to win a ring. I think Vuc could do similar on the right team.

Vuc joins team with Zach Lavine as best player, and himself as second best player ( Derozan and Lonzo weren't Bulls player in moment when trade happened).

Gordon joins team that has 47-25 record at the end of regualr season, 46-27 record previous year along with fact they played ECF finals that season.

Gordon isn't 3rd but 4th best player behind best player in the world, behind Jamal and Porter. Last year, when Gordon had chance to prove himself to be more than distanced 4th option, Nuggets lost in 5 games in first round.

You called Gordon star--- 50000 times in past. Including burner accounts.

Championships are won by 12-15 men every year, normally most credit goes to best player(s). But also all players recive rings.

I never said Vuc is good enough to be best player on championship roster, but it's also clear he was never part of roster that has objective chance winning title. And to this date he never played along side better basketball player than Derozan.

You are forgetting that player like Brook Lopez was pretty much Vuc before Vuc until he signed with Bucks. 1 time allstar, viewed as soft, simple minded basketball fans were trashing him because talking heads from ESPN told them to do so. Years later, guy is what ? 35-36 years old and still person most teams want to have. If that year he didn't sign with Bucks but some mediocre team his whole outlook would have been very different.

To me ,bottom line is, you have 30 teams, NBA teams don't like older players, if you are 30+ and still get payed, it means you are good & good value.
NBA titles are team's accomplishments, only people who are held by "rings" standards are top 20 players in history of a game. For all the rest it's just being lucky or unlucky to tag along. Once you figure that as starter Danny Green has more titles than: Kevin Garnett, iverson, Dirk,Embiid, Karl Malone, Barkley, Stockton etc - combined -you will figure it's not very valid argument to be had.

Difference between Gordon and Vuc, aside in difference in quality, is fact that Gordon found elite team , that was elite without him, and he added what they were missing. If he didn't fit, they would remove him.
Vuc went on team that had nobody, they added two great players, but one got hurt after 35 games and never played since, and Lonzo, Vuc and Derozan are horrible fits , especially because rest of roster is made out of trash. As result, they are mediocre team.

I don't even understand why Bulls brought him back, Lonzo is as good as retired, Derozan is 34 years old and Lavine is fool's gold. That team needs reboot, retool at least.

I'm over here looking at lineup data on NBA.com and just really surprised that the maximum games played for a five man lineup is 63, held by the Sacramento Kings starting group.

Orlando's top lineup was at 36 games played, good for 11th. Clippers don't even have one in the top 40 haha.

Anyway, I'm not sure why that level of instability surprises me but it did.

What are some factors driving the instability? I can think of player injuries as a main one. Another could be coaching and their ability to settle on a starting lineup.

I think Orlando being 11th is a testament to Mosely. We were actually 7th if you don't double count. I think he did a good job zooming in on a starting lineup that worked, though really the SL was a bit obvious.

What is really interesting is how much better the lineup looked swapping in Suggs for Harris.

Why does Brook Lopez go from a starter on a contender to a backup in Orlando?

Media: “So who are the starting guards on the Magic?”

Our front office, not making any moves while sitting on 4,367 guards:
